Google Adwords Banned account??

I followed a certain "guru" on how to make adwords ads. 3 days ago adwords stopped displaying my ads, today they said it violated their TOS. I looked and I could not find anything in violation, and they will not tell me what the violation is.

I have heard this happening before, and I was wondering if anyone knows of or has heard of why this happens. I am going to need adwords in the future (or so I believe) to help with my marketing.

    Will, did they disapprove your ads in that specific campaign, or did they ban your entire account?

    Are you able to set up new campaigns?

    They will usually tell you what part of their TOS that you have not complied with.

      Hi there Will

      I suffered the same thing. They just banned me the same as they did you. No reason nothing. It's just like having your arm cut off.

      I emailed support but they just came back with the same jargon.

      I have tried several times to get a new account but somehow they know it is me. I have changed my ip address and they still know.

      They also banned me from adsense. ?? I have to make do with Yahoo, MSN and other smaller sources. I guess they don't like the smaller marketer.

      I have lost so much money because of this. I hope that you can sort it out and if you can please let me know.

    Thats probably what you did.

    I disagree with the above "that they don't like the small marketer" they do, you just have to stick with the rules. Same with Adsense.

    The op said they followed a "guru", it wasn't a run your car on water ad was it? They're on that list!

    it could just be the domain you are trying to run ads for.. are you able to run ads for other domains?

    you say you were following the advice of a 'guru' - did that advice recommend anything sneaky or questionable in setting up your ads? Or is there anything questionable with the landing page/domain?

    I have beeen working on this and so far nothing. Customer service is not even talking to me anymore. I have my own domain landing page that forwards to my clickbank page.

    The product was banner creation software. I bought this software myself and tried it and liked it. I do no sell something I know nothing about.

    affiliate direct linking? Why not name the guru...we want to know which methods suck and which not...

    add: to tell you more we would need the exact wording, product and URL you used. I bet you used affiliate links an not your own landing page?

    Be interested to know, too. Seems strange things go on with IM sometimes and we IMers are the last to know - or caught in the crossfire.

    Agree with the above, though, either a wrong link to an affiliate or a promo they don't find acceptable.

    Keep asking there, see if you can find an email address even. Maybe eventually someone will reply with helpful info.
