Entering Paid Traffic

I am willing to spend $50-$100 a week...

I want to drive targeted human beings to my squeeze page...

I have zero experience to this point with paid traffic...

What do you suggest for starters?

Should i be prepared to lose money starting out?

Thanks...

Pick up a $100 AdWords Voucher. Set up some ads on the Content Network,
for inexpensive clicks. Test out a range of ads and keywords, and keep the winners.

Correct me if im wrong, or completely off...To say i have studied paid traffic very little would be an overstatement..

But can't you get banned from adwords for sending traffic to a squeeze page?

There's a good discussion of that here:

What's best for paid traffic could depend on what niche/topic your squeeze page is for? As I'm sure you know some niche's can be very expensive for paid traffic and some sources such as Adwords prevent you advertising on certain keywords.

You'll usually lose money while optimizing your campaign if you haven't tried it before, not always the case but happens a lot.

If its about dating than the Plenty Of Fish PPC system would be best

Search Google for "how to get my ex back" and also for "relationship advice" and look at the difference in paid ads.

That might give you a few ideas about what you could try.
(virtually no ads is a bad sign)

Make sure that you set your bids to the lowest possible. Don't bid too high.

I am not sure how competitive your niche is and how many people are advertising on Google and Yahoo but start with bids at $0.10. Leave it for 2-3 days to see what kind of traffic it brings you.

If no one is clicking on your ads, you will know that you need to increase your bids. Then go to $0.15 per click. Do this until you see movement.

Great advice, there are soooooo many different types of paid advertising, Search Engine PPC, Facebook PPC, PPC for Content Networks, PPV, Banners, Solo Ads and many more.

Pick a certain type of advertising, learn as much as you can to minimise your loss, if any from the get go.

I would love to join in the discussion. I would recommend that you start with solo ads. They are low risk and I have been using them for a very long time. Look at all the top marketers they all use solo ads why? They are so easy. This is what you need to do. Find a good affiliate program then run a solo ads promoting that offer and make a few sales while you build your list. If you find a really good list you just rump that one up. Then start doing JVs and list swaps with other people and you are good.

BuySellAds.com has a lot of good lucrative ad spots for sale on different sites of all kind at an affordable rates. It's a reasonable way to get your feet wet. If you can match up a high converting and relevant offer to the right site you can make a lot of dough.

Yes, some. Not much, if you're careful and prepared enough.

Do as much of the learning curve as you can (the "theory" part) before you spend anything.

The $100 AdWords voucher idea mentioned above is a good one.

Be very careful with the TOS.

If it were me (which it was, a couple of years ago, when I had a little go, myself), I would start with AdWords only and read the latest edition of this book from cover to cover before starting. (I found it far, far better and more helpful than any available online information). Amazon.com: Google AdWords For Dummies...Amazon.com: Google AdWords For Dummies...

targeted human beings lol this cracked me up

ive never heard anyone say that before ha!

i guess its better than targeted robots

without going into a massive article about it the best bit of advice is to set up your sales funnel so that it works on mostly autopilot, drive lots of (targeted human beings to it lol) using solo ads

solo ads are fast, effective and simple

make sure you have a good free offer and maybe a oto so you can recoup some of your investment back

I'm having a lot of fun with AdWords. There's no way I could have populated my new membership site with article marketing alone. I've done 200,000 ad impressions this week and it's cost me less than $20.

You can make a fortune from AdWords. The crucial thing is that you need a product that converts well. Then you can spend $1 to make $2 or something and scale it up to make $$$$.

I stay well clear of Google Adwords......expensive, a money pit for newbies and far too may rules and regulations. They clearly want big business to use their service and who can blame them.....much less customer service and monitoring and also huge advertising budgets.

Facebook has my VOTE... a lot easier to please than Adword.

But yes... have a One Time Offer so that the campaign pays for
    it self.

Solo ads are better, more with more targeted traffic. but a bit more
    expensive.
