Commission Junction Help!

I am wanting to start an affiliate program through commission junction for my crowdsourced website. But I have No earthly idea of how to. I don't even know what the difference is between publisher, advertiser or what. I already have an account with CJ as an affiliate marketer, but now I want to start my own aff program.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

An advertiser wants to sell products and uses CJ to find publishers/affiliates and pay them a commission to sell their products.

A publisher/affiliate wants to sell advertiser products and take a commission.

Advertising CJ information: Advertiser | CJ US
Publisher CJ information: Publisher | CJ US

I would do some research and reading not only at CJ.com but also ClickBank and JVZoo. Another good, simple and inexpensive affiliate system is E-Junkie. Best wishes to you!

I also just started with CJ. They have tons of advertisers but you have to apply to each of them.

Don't apply for an incentive account though, most of your requests to join a program will get denied...

You can also use paydot.com but there are some fees involved

I think that CJ is a bit expensive to get started, why don't you try an other affiliate network?

I was doing some contract work for a local company, and was going to get them an advertiser account at cj. They wanted around 50,000$ to get them started. It was for a physical product but considered high risk.

Needless to say I ended up getting them some accounts with some cpa companies instead.

Any other Affiliate program places I can apply that would work? I don't think Clickbank would work for my project. What do you think?
