Opt In Traffic Flow Tips

Hey warriors,

I have a question regarding the flow of traffic from my opt in page. I would like to use opt in>thank you/redirect>affiliate offer with double opt in so I would send the download upon clicking the confirm link. I would mention the download link being sent on the thank you page.

My concern is that I am pitching to them before they have double opted in. Its there a problem with this flow or any suggestions you would make to make it stronger? Thanks

I think it's better after they AND confirm their e-mail they get redirect to your affiliate offer.

If they see an affiliate offer before confirm their email you'll probably lose some subscribers.

Why not try to maximize your results/earnings with this sales funnel:

Subscription Optin > OTO 1 > Downsell OTO 2 > "Thank You. Your product is on the way, check out these free offers" > Click confirm link in email > OTO 3 > Thank you page with download and also free offers on the page.

This is an aggressive sales funnel, but it is known to convert quite well. I think it's best to test the sales funnel before sending a lot of traffic and the best way would be a 50 or 100 click solo.

However, if you're not comfortable with the above sales funnel, you can get rid of the third OTO, this is the strategy that I use on my funnels. I will be adding a third OTO and testing the results.

Just turn off double optin. 40% of people who optin forget to confirm and you do not want that if you are paying for that traffic

I do like the sound of that. I am pretty new to IM but I learn quickly. On the OTOs like number 1, that would have to be my own product obviously, right?

I wanted to have some proof before creating my own product so it has taken me until now to do so. In the future this will be a great way to optimize the sales funnel. Thanks

It can be your own product (even a PLR product) or a product with Resale or MRR rights. OTO 1 & 2 should be related since OTO 2 is a downsell to the original OTO.

If the subscriber has clicked 'No Thanks' through the entire funnel, OTO 3 should be completely different and entirely unrelated. They've already said no twice, and the third time around isn't going to change their mind.

      Best,
      Logan

having a OTO in place and using a single opt in you may lose subscribers in the process but at the same time you will gain more buyers and make more money right off the bat and often even a profit

if you use a double opt and promote your oto after confirmation your OTO conversions will be lower

i use a oto and single opt in when i use paid traffic to build my list because its very profitable

but when i use free traffic i use double opt in, this way im not bothered about making my advertising investment back right off the bat

do what ever works for you and what your happy with

Nice piece of information...I am still caught between double or single but will try both.

Just curious about what you meant by OTO i suppose. A one time offer is one that is your own product that you offer after subing, correct?

But if you don't have one to offer should I just toss out an affily offer related to initial premium? Thanks ahead of time!

This is sincerely helping me out.

NICE! I got it now. Thanks a lot. This was a HUGE help and exactly why I created this post. I thought my funnel was solid but there is definitely more opportunities in there!

By the way, you have a suggestion for an exit pop so that I can do OTO downsell on OTO1?

Lastly, If I am using Paypal as the processor for the OTOs how do I get it to ordinate with my offers.

For example, if somebody passes on OTO1, grabs OTO1 downsell, and then grabs OTO2. How do I get Paypal to process one charge with the correct prices for each product?

    Thanks ahead of time!
