Full-Time IMers - what do you do for health insurance coverage?

Fellow Warriors -

For you full-timers/ part-time IMers with day jobs that don't provide you with health insurance benefits (and your spouse's job doesn't provide health insurance benefits either), where do you go for health insurance coverage?

Thanks very much for your input!
Irwin

I write stuff for marketers and my current clients keep me comfortably
busy. But if you make me the right offer, I'll write stuff for you too.

When I was a small business owner, I went through BCBS of NC (I lived in NC then). The rate was a little high because I wasn't on a group plan, but it was better than nothing. Now I'm an employee of the State of GA, so I have a REALLY crummy plan that's supposedly wonderful because it's a group plan.

I'd rather have my BCBS back.

I have got my health insurance as recommended by my employer. Too much was chaged every year! I am not sure it was worthwhile or not?

I am not yet a full-time IMer, but my day job does not have health insurance. I have Blue Cross and Blue Shield. They have tons of options that cost less than I paid when I worked at a huge corporation.

I'm looking into buying my own (been without any since I turned 18). I'm thinking about HumanaOne.

I am biased against insurance and pay
for everything in cash, primarily because
my experiences with Blue Cross Blue Shield
were so completely and absolutely terrible.

In fact, I think I hate them more than
    GoDaddy.

No, forget insurance, cash pays for everything.

Yea - I don't blame you; but at least you're insured and IMO that's the most important thing.

It's always a good thing to be insured; YOU NEVER KNOW what's going to happen.

I'm thinking of getting a similar plan through ehealthinsurance - thanks for your input.

I wish I had that much cash to throw around - as long as you have the means to pay for what you need; that is all that matters.
