Hy Guys,

I've been building back links for few months and submitted tons of articles to different directories.

EzineArticles is good because you will get lots of traffic, exept when not trying to release another "make tons of cash" article.

BUT...I do not see ANY backlinks coming from Ezinearticles, IdeaMarketers and from GoArticles. I have submitted to all of these directories and also to others.

Do you guys know whats going on? Does article directories use "NoFollow" to links?

Anyway, If you have some great ideas about how to build quality backlinks, then let me know.

Martin

    Hey Martin,
What do you mean by you can't SEE the backlinks from Ezine and Goarticles? Did you use Yahoo's Site explorer for this? Sometimes it will take a few days or a week or so for the search engines to find those backlinks to your site. These links are not nofollow so you ARE getting some link juice from these article directories but Google has really devalued links from places like this lately because spammers have hit it so hard.
Some free methods of backlink building that will take some time are:
    1. Post valuable comments on Do follow blogs
    2. Forum posting with links in signature
    3. Continue to post in High PR article directories
    4. Build links on social netoworking sites like Squidoo, Zimbio, Hubpages..
    5. Guest Post for Bloggers
    6. Appropriate press release

There are more methods but here are some that will keep you busy for years! lol.. Yeah, it can take that long.

I have a system of building backlinks on high PR blogs and it has been amazing to see my sites shoot to the first pages of Google in a very short time. You have to vary the anchor text a little but it's extremely effective.. On my 3rd month now with it.

I know that most people are told to post on DoFollow blogs but, you have to understand that even though Goog is the big dog, other search engines don't follow that rule. Do post to NoFollow blogs as they DO get picked up by other search engines that do Not follow the same rules. I'll post on NoFollow blogs that have a high PR and get them picked up by Yah and MSn, and from what I understand is that Yahoo is gaining market share. Uhhmmm...interesting.

Video sites can give you great link juice if you do a lot of homework. YouTube can get you traffic, but any links you create in your discription or profile page will be NOFOLLOW. Others, like blip.tv have a PR of 7 and the link to your webpage is a FOLLOW link so you get traffic plus juice.

And, just like with article postings, you have to check video sites one by one to see how to include your links. In some, if you just type in your URL, it will appear as an active link. In others, you will have to make your link in HTML, with the "href" thingie for it to be active.

I can't tell you how many times I see people do this wrong, and the end up getting a link on a high PR site with a link that isn't even active because of what I said in the above paragraph.

Some of my fave feeder sites with DOFOLLOW links back to your site or blog are:

Quizilla, blip.tv, ezinearticles (resource box), Blogger, Hubpages, Squidoo, Zimbio (profile page), Weebly... you know, places like that.

Also, with some video sites they say that they don't accept videos whose only purpose is to promote a product or service. So--if they see you've got a video promoting an affiliate product, they'll yank the vid and if you do it several times they'll close your account. But suppose you are promoting a Clickbank top product in the IM niche. Just make a short 2 min vid on affiliate marketing, SEO, list building, etc. and then if you can put an URL in your profile or description section--go for it. That way it provides information and you get the PR 5, 6, 7 backlink.

    Good luck!

Nice post! Can you say which video directories accept HTML in the description? Does revver, metacafe, yahoo video, Vsocial, Veoh, Steamocracy, Google video allow HTML?
      thanks

Ok, thank you guys, there is a lot of helpful information from you. I'm really going into trying it more deeply next week, after I'm finished creating my niche online course to men.

I will try out these methods you mentioned above, and let you know what did work BEST.

But, how do you prefer to look if the page is No-or DoFollow? ( I've heard that firefox can do it but not sure how)

And how do you check the PR fast? I'm not into going to market samurai for every page I'd like to post on.

And of course the rest is just effective WORKING, when you know the game.

      Thanks.

Martin, you can try these techniques:

    1. Blog commenting to dofollow forums with high PR.
    2. Forum posting at dofollow forums.
    3. Social bookmarking with high PR sites.

I think these can get you started and you'll see an immediate increase in your backlinks and your site will be indexed fast by major SE's.

puusep, there are no ways to get PR fast, Googlw will only update it once in 3 months and no one knows exactly your page rank will be since the algorithm in google is always changing.. To check PR perhaps you can download a Google toolbar and checking "nofollow" right click on the URL in firefox then click on properties and you know if it is "no follo"w or do follow. this method only checks if there are links.
What kind of websites are you in perhaps I can help you getting some links

      Hey Zoobie

I'm into dating niche now, and I want to dominate few keywords, Like Bad Guy Gets Girl, how to pick up women etc.

My site is BadGuyGetsGirl.com I think I have only like 12 backlinks, and that's defenitely not enough to be noticed by google.

I don't mean to be too promotional, but I'm actually launching a service today (at 12pm) which would be perfect for you. You'll have a team of traffic generation specialists dedicating 40-50 hours to promoting your site.

They will do all this stuff for you: keyword analysis, article writing, video creation & marketing, social bookmarking, press releases, high PR link building, blog posting, forum marketing, Web 2.0 groups, manual submissions, and more.

I'm fully expecting to get an infraction for proposing a solution for you, but such is life :-).

Ok, Guys, I think I've found another good and very intelligent ( next to your great suggestions here ) way to build back links for free.

It is called the Free Traffic System that I've found from Warrior Forum, I'm trying it right now and it looks really promising. You can also use it for FREE, no hidden upgrade request later or anything, but be careful to learn how to submit your articles before you do submit them.

It can produce you about 5-6 quality back links per day, the safe way. From one article you can generate about 60 back links, from 10 articles 600 back links ( if done the right way)!

The link is here if you want to try.

Martin, you're new around here, and you seem like a nice enough guy, so...

You might want to take a moment to read the rules:

before you continue posting your affiliate link.

Someone a bit more cynical might think this whole thread is engineered to enable you to post that link several times...

Google clobbered my PR when they found out I was buying back links. I went from PR5 to PR1. That reminds me, how do they know I bought them? What if a competitor had bought them to crash me.

They didn't clobber you, they stopped giving you credit for the links you were buying. It would be no different if a competitor was buying them...they would take away the PR those bought links were delivering, so in essence, you wouldn't be losing anything.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to submit your videos to all of the free video submission sites? The more backlinks you can create, the better, I would think. I don't see any of them taking up too much time, especially if you can submit your videos with semi-automated or automated software.

Video backlinking IS a great way to build backlinks quickly and effectively, I'm not sure if you're aware or not but I also use the following free sources to get some great linking to my sites: social networking sites like squidoo and hubpages as well using press releases that are well written and contain interesting pitches in them as well. If you're expanding or adding a new portion to your site or product - always use press releases, a great easy and effective tool!

I have been using this free traffic system for almost a week now, and I have been able to build more than 30 quailty backlinks with PR6! Of course it is going to work only when you take the time and spin your articles to make them unique. Anyway I'm really happy right now with it because the results are great and it is totally free service.

If you use article marketing, then what type of scheme are you using guys? Are you spinning content after you submitting to the different directory? Put it first to Ezinearticles to get the best out of it? I'm reallly curious about it because I still don't get the hole "game" how to get the best out of few articles.

I don't use "spinning technology" I use my "Dragon Naturally Speaking 10" speech recognition software and simply dictate existing similar articles from Ezine or Pro articles. First I read a paragraph, then I re-read paragraph by paraphrasing parts of paragraph in my own words, while the software types what I am saying. I could produce 10 unique articles in 30 minutes using this method.
