Copyright on Terms of Service/Use, Privacy Policy type pages?

I'm looking to add new services to my site. However, I'm stuck on finalizing the terms of use type pages. My competition obviously has tweaked their terms of use pages to near perfection. Which got me thinking, from a legal standpoint, won't pages like these tend to be almost identical in the end? And, are there legal ramifications from taking such a legal document and tailoring it to your business specifically?

Thanks.

      Quick answer? Yes and yes.

There are a couple of bona fide lawyers on the forum who offer licenses to legal pages, and they enforce their copyrights vigorously. I can't believe they are the only ones.

There are also collections of templates available for personal use, which you can tailor to fit your individual business.
