I'm a little frustrated by the 20 post minimum in order to participate in the forum. All the posts I want to reply to require a minimum of 20 posts. How am I supposed to get there?

      Me either. I think there is a 5 post min before you see the "Thanks Button" though. I didn't question the 20 post thing because he's already posted on the forum just now.... Twice!

      I don't know if it's 20 or 50 or which forums, but some of the forums, like JV have a rule that you can't post in them until you reach that level

      Probably, but it is frustrating as a newbie looking to participate . There's a lot of great information here, does anyone have a strong opinion as to how it compares to some of the other SEO forums out there?

    It's not an SEO forum; it's a marketing forum, hence discussion is far broader.

    (All SEO-oriented discussions should, of course, be started in the appropriate section, otherwise they'll probably be moved or simply deleted, depending on how frustrated the mods are feeling. )

    But seeing as you ask, SEO discussions here are, much like everywhere else, frequently frustrating and often filled with lots of speculation, hysteria, and general nonsense — sometimes by "armchair experts" and innocently misguided individuals, other times deliberately by people with vested interests in pushing a certain perspective.

    So whatever you do, exercise good judgement.
