De Indexed in Google & Need Advice

Hello,
I got the dreaded email from Google saying I have unnatural backlinks and I'm not surprised about receiving it.

I have a little over 500 backlinks that were created unnaturally and it's going to take me a looooong time to remove them. Plus, I only have approximately 250 of those urls in a spreadsheet. I don't know how to get rid of the urls I don't have.

I'm looking for advice about the best thing to do at this point to get my site indexed again. Do I continue the slow process of removing the links from the urls I do have? Or do I just start over with a new domain name? Do I have any other options? If so, what are they?

I've learned my lesson and will not using any link building services from now on! What a headache!

I appreciate all helpful suggestions. Thanks!
Jenn

    Hi Jenn,
I would suggest you to do the both... i.e buy a new domain name and outsource the process of removing backlinks to someone... This will give you 2 options....

Because Google never guarantees any indexation once you get caught. So the chances are 50-50....

    All the best

    Hi Jenn,

Don't waste any time trying to remove backlinks. Instead, focus on building quality backlinks and improving the quality of your site. If you don't have a lot of brand recognition built up in the domain, then you might just want to start fresh.

I agree with this as well...btw how do you know you have been de-indexed?? Did you check using site:yourwebsite.com to see if it is still indexed?
You might have just been penalized and not de-indexed...

Adsense/PPC/SEO Discussion Forum is the best place to ask these kinds of questions.

My advice? Stop trying to find unnatural ways to game Google and focus on giving your users a great experience. "SEO" (i.e. backlink sellers) experts will tell you this won't matter; but giving your users what they want is what Google wants. The rankings come naturally.

I didn't know Google actually sent emails to you, I thought they just de-indexed without letting you know. Thanks for the heads up and I agree - organic is the way forward.

So unnatural backlinking is being penalized now? If you ever get into a mischievous mood, why not apply the same unnatural backlinking to your competitors' sites? Google has just put your competitors' fate in your hands, it seems.

Ow what a load of rubbish, build great content and they will come they say. You can still build great content and backlinks at the same time. It's only when they neg your perfectly written articles and poor site structure when you'll come crying.
