Where can I find a little more ACTION?

Hey Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew of any methods for making money online that involved a bit more action than the typical methods.

Business is going well for me so that isn't a problem. It's just that I sometimes get impatient or bored waiting for things to roll in. I wish there was something I could do which was more action oriented, something where I can make money fast (even if it's only a few dollars) by actively doing something right now.

I'm looking for something where the earning potential is only limited by my skills and the ferocity with which I go after the money. I feel like there must be something I'm missing that fits this bill. Maybe it doesn't have to be something as intense as selling on the floor of the stock exchange but something more exciting than waiting for orders would be fun.

I sometimes feel useless just sitting around and waiting for the things I've set up to bring me money and I wish I had something I could really get my hands on.

Is there anything that is more action oriented than the typical methods of internet marketing?

I'm looking for something specifically with a focus on sales and writing but any suggestions would be good. (I'm not going to start playing Poker, I'm good at it but I refuse to become a gambler!)

If you need some "action oriented" task...Youtube should be suitable for you.

You need to talk attractively, do some acting and present yourself in front of millions of people, rather than just sitting in front of your computer typing away.

Think of it like a video game, beat a level and you get 100 points. Maybe Poker is a better example. You play a few hands and you make $200, the money is a direct result of the action.

I'd like to find something where money is a direct result of action I've taken right now.

As it is, everything is a bit disconnected. I take action and promote something but then I need to wait to see a result. I'm looking for instant action and instant results.

Maybe I just need to be more patient? lol

  Webinars are a good idea. I'll look into those as well.
  
  I wish there was a way to sell directly to customers, maybe even in a live format like a IM or chat sort of thing. I really love sales but I hate waiting around.

  actaully that is a good way, we do get good results with webinars, but you need to test and track everything, religiously and see what works best, then just keep doing more of that.

Sounds like you need to get into PPC/PPV man.

For faster results and a head full of data to look at each morning its perfect for You.
Spend some money each day and tally up the sales, see what keywords are profitable, look for keywords you missed and find new Niches for your product.

T me its as Instant as it gets as you can go to bed and wake up either BROKE or RICH depending on your efforts.

I am a Poker Player as well, My gambling is done on PPC through Betting on keywords.

Maybe I'll look around and try to find some good PPC networks. I have a few projects lined up that could do relatively well with PPC, I'm just waiting on all my invoices to be paid before I invest in anything new.

  Meditation is good but it doesn't make me any money. Not unless I create a product for it, which isn't a bad idea.
  
  IM is my full time job, I'm here at my desk, drinking coffee and working, everyday. I've been keeping my schedule in order so I've had plenty of time to finish all my work. It's the extra time between promoting something and getting orders that sort of drives me crazy.
  
  Stephen King once said something about how not working is the hard part for him. He said he'll take a few weeks or months off between books and this period of time is more stressful than when he's working on a new book.
  
  I think it's the same for me, I need to be busy, challenged and active. Not being busy is what really gets to me.

  you could set yourself a time based challenge
  I'm guessing you how to make money online so why not see how much you can make when you have a clock ticking
  I think hit a target in 24hrs or 30 days would work well
  would make a good resellable product/service, like a quickfire bootcamp

You should sign up for ebay or half.com. You'll see alot of action there.

  Sounds like you want direct sales and direct and immediate interaction in real time without delayed gratification. That is a challenge you can definitely set youirself up to meet.
  
  You need live events or live interaction.
  
  Here are some ways:
  
  Hold a live webinar event, teleconferencing event or teleseminar event.
  
  You can promote this event the same as you would any other event. You can record it if you like it package it and sell it later or just build up an archive of events that people can reference later.
  
  You can host a live radio talk show event or podcast event.
  
  You can conduct a telemarketing campaign. This does not have to be cold calling. This can be part of an email marketing or list building campaign of existing subscribers. You could also build up a callback list of subscribers or customers requesting callbacks. You could also do a heavy ad and promotional campaign of a phone number that people could call you and you answer the phone and answer questions or make sales presentations.
  
  You can launch a chat campaign which is just an extension of a webinar but in a one on one setting rather than in a group setting.
  
  You can use a social media campaign featuring real time tweets or updates. Your focus would be on direct interactive conversations almost in the style of chat rather than just linear updates that may take hours or even days to get replies.
  
  Your goals with all of these interactive real time formats would basically be to deliver a direct sales presentation and people could decide to buy or place an order for your product or services right on the spot.

It sounds like you would love offline marketing for the exact reason that many people detest it. You would be able to put in more effort and see a definite result of those actions. Face to face with your potential clients in a battle to make them trust you.

Personally I'm not a fan of selling to people and I always find myself teaching them for free. For you though, offline marketing could be your dream come true. Definite actions resulting in definite results.
