How long does a new Clickbank product to take off???

There's no right answer. Optimize the sales page. Remove an opt-in form. Don't be "over-hypey", but make sure it sells the product. Have the product itself make buyers happy... and low refunds are a good sign of whether buyers consider the product worthy generally. Don't "trap" visitors with pop-up windows, but there can be a sort of funnel with downsells if need be. Have a high percentage commission. Have good affiliate banners for affiliates to use.

This is a good question with many answers and I am sure you will receive answers from various angles.

Here are my two cents. Depending on the niche you operate in I would still say the conversion of your product is weighted 60/40 (on average). Meaning 60% of your success depends on your marketing/affiliates and 40% comes from the quality of your product. Most affiliates want to know how much they can earn by promoting your product and currently the most 'trusted' indicator is EPC (think its not accurate and should not be trusted), Earnings Per Click. Again, I have a strong opinion about EPC.

Those are the strongest contributors to success; affiliates and quality of product.

There are many other ways you can increase your sales. List building, make sure you capture emails as traffic lands/leaves your site. Make sure you use various JV networks (JV notify pro, LaunchBoards...). Use Warrior Forum for special offers. Use Coupon-Magic to generate coupons as well as other promotional tools for your affiliates. Think about offline marketing.

Its very difficult to pin point an exact success formula nor is there a one fits all.

You can't tell for sure in how much time will your product get "famous".

Ross gave you some great tips, and if you want to you can give affiliates some incentives to promote your product to their lists like free reports with giveaway rights so they can give them to their list.

Thanks for the responses guys but this product is not mine I'm promoting it on clickbank as an affiliate. I was just wondering how long this product would take to get a descent amount of searches like around 700 to 1000 a month.

I have researched other products on clickbank from when they launched to now and it looks like it takes almost a good year for a good product to have high searches, around maybe 900 a month. basically its a review site that I have and its not in the making money niche at all.
