Another Support Email Saves/Makes More Money

For the last 24 hours or so I've been struggling with a script that quit sending out emails such as "you've now registered and here's your login info" or lost password emails.

Still not sure what changed but finally got it working by using a workaround.

This got me to thinking about a person who buys and never gets their login info or where the support ticket system seems to not be working. Unfortuately, the immediate and knee jerk reaction many times is that we've been scammed.

Sending emails to anything@thatdomain.com may not work, the contact form may not work, the ticket system may not work and people resort to posting here or doing a chargeback.

It seems to me that adding an offsite contact method may save a lot of money and credibility which may lead to more money and credibility.

It would be simple, in addition to any domain based emails, to open a Gmail account and monitor it. Or if your support is at Gmail, for example, open a second account at Yahoo or Hotmail.

Now I'm off to get mine set up.
