eBay Prospecting for Leads
Hi All,
I've just stumbled across a technique whereby people are prospecting leads through their eBay auctions.
Within their listings they have a link that takes the viewer to a capture leads page and should they enter their name and email address they then get a serious of emails.
It doesn't matter whether the visitor to the auction listing actually bids but if they've opted in then more often than not they end up buying something through the email marketing. This is usually a higher priced item than the actual auction.
What I want to know is whether there is anyone doing this and how do they manage to get around the eBay linking policies. I read the policies and it doesn't allow links to capture email addresses.
I'm very interested if this works without breaking the rules.
