hey guys, yesterday i made a amazon affiliate website specially to promote in pinterest, i had a pinterest account with 500+ followers, so what i've been doing is pinning amazon product pics from my website to pinterest, i pinned about 20 products yesterday, according to google analytics yesterday i had receive 320+ unique visitors to my website, 90% USA, today i went to amazon and checked stats, 604 clicks but no sales , im not sure whether all these clicks came from real users, b coz when i were setting up my site, i clicked those product links few times , and im surpriced by the amnout of traffic i revived yesterday, so what i wanna know is,

can that be bot traffic or something?

&

did amazon counted all the clicks that i've been doing when i was setting up my site, ?

if all those visitors and click were genuine then i must have had at-least a 1 sale right? thanks for ur time

You, will probably see sales tomorrow, due to the 24 hour cookie.

It could be a broad traffic n not a real target audience. This would explain why u still don't see any sale

My personal experience says traffic from social media sites do not convert well for Amazon website. You should not link your website with your friends and followers on sites like facebook, twitter, stumble upon.

Try to focus on other traffic methods like, Search Engines and PPC they convert well for Amazon website. By the way I would recommend you to take good PPC course before you focus on paid traffic method.

Its way past 24 hours since OP posted but anyways, from experience it really depends on the traffic, since the traffic you get from pinterest is free ( I'm assuming its free traffic) even if conversion is low what does it matter ?

Probably due to the severe resistance to pinterest users not being buyers. You are better off offerring free stuff so look to pinterest to either promote CPA offers and building a list.

Pinning to Amazon products is being used by a lot of people. Just because those people clicked on your Pins doesn't mean they didn't do it for the next person who Pinned a product to Amazon. The cookie is only good for the last pin they clicked on so the OP could have lost a few sales to other people because they clicked on somebody else's Pin to Amazon.

Also, I think a lot of people use Pinterest on their cell phones and not many order products on Amazon from their phones.

You're better off using Pinterest to drive traffic to your site and then try to collect their email or mobile number.

Probably bot traffic. Statistically, such a number of clicks could not have come from your 500 followers.
