Help me choose a forum name

Hi guys.

I'm going to be making a new forum, but the url I wanted, KeywordForum.com is gone.

KeywordForum.org is available... which isn't bad.

However, KeywordScene.com is available...

So, I'm tied between the .org and .com...

Is Scene ok?

It's sports related... I like scene, but it's not as specific as forum...

I wouldn't choose a .org, no matter what.

If you think scene doesn't fit, then I wouldn't use
    that either.

Have you considered using a short pre-fix?

    E.g.
    TheKeywordForum.com

    BestKeywordForum.com

    TopKeywordForum.com

These all help to position you as a top forum and
only add a few extra letters to your domain name.

More importantly, you get the .com too.

    Dedicated to mutual success,

Thanks Shaun, I actually like scene... but just wondering what other warriors think of it.

I'm not a big fan of prefexis, but thanks for the advice.

Second one is A LOT better

forum just sounds too generic and doesn't establish much of a brand

Then just put the word forum in the meta title/description

    VOILA

I was choosing a forum title these days and after a lot of thinking/ too much/ also went for similar, more general, like yours. Without any "forum" in it. One of the reasons is i found nobody of my friends knew what forum is exactly. Can you believe it?

I would prefer the domain name method Shaun suggested.

I would say stick with .com. It's easier to remember. Most people will type in .com over .org and if you take .org they'll end up on someone else's site.

the question also raises does the word forum need to be in the title ?

    other options also include

    community
    board

The answer is in the poll. Scene sounds so much better and it's a bonus that the com is available. I would choose that based on seo value and visitor value.

Definitely stick with the .com for reasons mentioned above. Some other ideas could be:

    KeywordSolutions.com

    KeywordIdeas.com

    KeywordSuccess.com

or secrets, tips, guide, zone just to name a few

The second one "scene" sounds better then "forum"(its overused), but then again you have to look at the keywords, monthly searches etc.
