because IE sucks, it doesn't support allot of dynamic functions on websites.

I do use it but not as my default browser, which is FireFox.

Given that I'm logging in and out of various sites every day, I heavily use the Lenovo ThinkVantage Password Manger in conjunction with my fingerprint scanner in place of a master password. Every now and then a new FireFox version - which are released pretty frequently - will render the plugin temporarily incompatible, so during these periods I'll switch for a short time to IE, then go back again.

I don't see how this helps you, though.

There are sites on the internet that provide statistics about visitors' browsers (name, version, etc.), if you need that information. Or you can always determine who's using what when visiting your sites (which is obviously the most important thing, for you) just by looking at your own stats.

It's been a long time since I've used IE. I mostly use Chrome, Opera or Firefox. It always seemed like I had more virus issues when I used IE.

IE has given me nothing but problems. It constantly freezes and adobe crashes all the time. It eats up way to many resources and is just horribly slow.

    I use firefox my self.

I hate IE, so slow and buggy, lacks any kind of refinement and smoothness.

Yes, this is true, in my experience.

IE has always had its "quirks", for sure, and isn't as standards-compliant as most of the other popular browsers out there, but there are workarounds for almost everything. If something doesn't work, it's because of a lazy developer, or one who's so obtusely principled that he stupidly refuses to cater for a slightly awkward browser that still commands a huge market share.

Yes I still use IE sometimes because of old sites we have that still use IE. However, my current fav is Firefox followed by Opera and Chrome.

As DireStraits pointed out - IE is an awkward browser that still commands a huge market share.

Unfortunately, in some cases for that market you still have to have IE hanging around, even if you'd rather not deal with it.

majority of internet users still use IE around the world. although many of us dont like it, thats the fact.

ms seem to be learning being standard compliant with the newer ie versions.

I do, as my primary default browser......

A lot of the issues people have with computers being slow, is that they must have slow computers.

I have no issues hardly at all with IE ever.

Firefox is used every once in a while, but it has issues at times also.

I also have Windows Vista, which most do not like. But again, I have a super duper computer system, with 9 GB ram, it's an icore 7 quad core, so I assume most issues people are having is that there computer is the issue.

I do know that IE sucks for certain things when it comes to user compatibility when designing websites to be compatible across all major browsers.

I still use it though, if I can get a website to look good and run good in IE, then it almost certainly will on all other websites. LOL!

Another vote for Firefox, the web developer tools are pretty nice. On occasion I will use IE just to see what my sites look like in IE.

    I hate FireFox.

I know that most people love it, but on all 3 computers I've owned, none of them liked it.

Chrome is #1- IE is my backup

Justin you are one of the first people I have met who has admitted to having problems with FireFox. On three computers? Who knew? I know so many people who rave about Firefox but trash IE or even Chrome. For many FireFox is the Holy Grail.

You need to check out the update of 9gag, while you can notice that they always make IE alone because no one is support on it .
Web developer also fed up with IE while everything work in other browser and always malfunction in IE.
It would be slowest internet browser, and like lot of bugs no matter how many times they update and unfriendly interface.

Chrome is the best, even though they have a few dramas, they really seem to be getting their act together.

I remove IE from all of my machines when I get a new one. It's so terrible it's laughable. My set up is chrome as my main browser, firefox when another is needed, and opera for messing around with when needed. Mostly use chrome however.

I can't believe this is even a question in may of 2012. I expected this thread to be four years old. Haha.

Asking someone if they use IE is like asking if they churn their own butter. You know someone, somewhere is doing it, but probably don't know anyone personally who does. Haha.

The fact that Sabrine uses IE at home and prefers it over Chrome just goes to prove that there really a large market of people still using it and liking it. I think a lot of the IE fans have their own reasons why they still use it.

Usually Firefox on my PC, or Safari on my iPhone. Sometimes I have to use IE for a site that does not have compatibility with Firefox. That just annoys me, but proves there are those who prefer the IE experience.
