Amazon took action seeing results

After reading the many posts about Amazon marketing decided to take action and give it a try.

Set up review site 6 weeks ago (still adding reviews and articles) did some steady link building to it, avoided the penguin slap and it's now starting to pay off.

$32.84 earnings from 5 sales this month, it's only the 10th today so hopefully more sales by the end of month.

Not life changing mega bucks but it's early days yet and i'm chuffed i managed to get some sales onwards and upwards.

Hey Fernando, that's a great report!

But it sounds like the start of a vicious cycle, so you better be careful

ACTION -----> RESULTS -----> MOTIVATION -----> MORE ACTION

As long as you don't expect things to happen over night (and it sounds like you understand this) and don't lose your focus and that inner drive that comes from the taste of success you'll find that good things can become great things, and small earning can become decent earnings, and then can grow into your mega bucks.

      Peace

Glad you jumped on the boat. You will see results soon enough if you continue a quality link building campaign, posting relevant and engaging reviews, and keep building new sites.

Good luck- remember things can change and grow suddenly. My first month when I started with Amazon sites was $3, next month $24, after that $70, month 4, $500, within a year $6k a month, and now averaging $400 daily.

Yes hopefully turn it into full time income, have been running an ecommerce site and ebay for a number of years quite successful. But it's built on dropshipping and it's quite stressful at times as your reliant on your supplier all the time.If things go out of stock or other problems it's you who get all the flack.

Had to refund over $1000.00 to customers in last 2 weeks for out of stock products.

No auto blogging,i manually write the reviews use a format i got from Jeesica Stone WSO. Then i write an article about the item with titles like How to use blah blah blah properly,or How do i blah blah blah with blah blah.

So with the review and the product article i get a couple of thousand words on the product. Im lucky in the fact i used to use the products im writing about so it's quite easy for me to write about these products.

If there is not a lot to say about the product i search for the manual and take the safety tips and the likes re-write them in my own words and fill with this.

Yes i know, think alot was due to the way they were link building. They were getting the un-natural links notice, i have been mixing my anchor text up and not doing aggressive link building.

Plus alot that i have been seeing in my niche are terrible all they have basically done is copy the amazon page word for word.No original content where mine have original content and plenty of info.

My Amazon page just updated another sale yesterday 2 more and i move up to 6% rate. Getting there slowly.

Most of my sites were affected by Penguin and I didn't get any message about unnatural link building.

When you mix your anchor text up, do you use generic keywords or do you just use variations of the product keyword i.e. a shorter version of it?

The ridiculous thing is that I see many sites in Google as you described, copying the Amazon page word for word and they outrank sites with 100% original content and good on page SEO. When are Google going to sort this out.

            Well done on the sales.

Congrats for taking action and making some money!!!

$32 can be life-changing for the person who has never made money online before...
My first $1 I made online was the 'life changer' for me. I knew then if I could make one dollar, I could surely make more than that. That was back in the spring of 2003, and I literally made only $1, but I was excited and couldn't stay away from trying to make money online after I made that one single dollar.
Keep in mind - it takes persistence and work - there is no easy way
It has had its ups and downs - times when no money was coming in at all, and times when I had very good cash flow... I didn't become a millionaire, but it does make for a nice supplemental income

That's my 2 cents for the day

I would advice you to take down small notes on what you have done and refer back to them when you are starting new project. Look at the task and see which are the one that you can outsource, what mistakes to avoid etc

Taking action is the most important things. You can read and download as much information as you want to, but none of that matters unless you put it to use. Sometimes things won't work out, but this shouldn't be taken as a negative, but as a lesson learned. I will say I don't agree with you saying it's not "life-changing" money because that's exactly what it is. You now know you can earn a nice living online by scaling, and to me that was life changing for sure!

Also a little tip, I don't know if this applies to you. I do reviews for products and I am based in the UK, however I do get traffic from USA also, so I tend to stick a link for amazon uk and one for amazon usa, and I have got sales from the USA.

I think I would have otherwise missed out on these sales had I not had both links. Sold a treadmill yesterday on the USA one and earned just under $13.

This is a great thread, but you have to take it with a grain of salt.

He's seeing results because he has a system that works. He's been running an ecommerce and ebay site.

For most, i would think finding a system that works is the hard part. Because once you've found it, its not all that hard to take action.

The hardest part of taking action not knowing whether it will get you the results you want.
Having reasonable expectation, makes it easier. Knowing it's worked previously for you pretty much takes all the barriers away.

Just my thoughts as I try to find something that works.

An ecommerce site, and eBay...those are both NOTHING like an Amazon review site.

As for taking action, and knowing if you will get the result you want. If you take no action because you are scared, your chances of success are ZERO.

Is backlinking and other forms of promotion different for ebay/ecommerce and amazon?

The backlinking strategy he's currently using he didn't do the same for his other sites prior to amazon?

So you're saying he's new to backlinking?

I'm not being sarcastic, just clarifying because I thought promoting affiliate/sales websites were pretty much the same.

And being scared to take action leading to zero results was pretty much my point. Thank you.

This is a major tumbling block for lots of people. However, what folks need to do is not be afraid. I am making what some would consider to be a full-time income working just 40-50 hours per month on my own Amazon sites.

My strategy is far different than what most are doing. I was afraid I'd be wasting my time when I first implemented the strategy but to my surprise, it took off almost immediately.

If you are new to IM and you are reading this thread, here is my advice:

Don't be afraid to fail. Some things will work and others won't. You need to test, test, test to find something that works for you. It worked for OP and it will work for you.

That is really great results! I've been telling people who are starting to dive into Amazon that until your site has really stabilized in the rankings you have to keep backlinking AND adding content to your site daily!

Of course, the ultimate goal is to have a base of sites but don't ignore your older sites as you start to branch out into other sites....Remeber, keep it fresh and updated! Google has become very demanding so give the big G what it likes!
