Excel doc help needed, please

Hi,

We have a strange Excel spreadsheet issue going on that no one can figure out, if anyone can lend a hand - -or keyboard, please


Issue:



1. The spreadsheet has roughly 9 pages, each with its own color tab labeled at the bottom.

2. Once you write on page 1, fine. Save doc.

3. Then go to page 2 and write, fine. But, go to change the bottom color
tab on page 2 to rename it, and all the content you entered on page 1 vanishes.....for no known reason...and you cannot "undo" nor can you find the page 1 original copy in any saved format you made earlier. All vanished.


Any help with this vanishing content issue?

    I'm afraid I've not idea what's happening, but when strange things happen to me I usually try copying and pasting all the content into a new document. That often cures the problem. So start a new s/sheet and c/p all the content.

      if you are using the autopopulate then you need to change the formula to reflect the new name of the page.

    Boy, I hate when this kind of stuff happens. hard to say without seeing the file, if you want to send it over I can take a quick peek if you like. I should be around for an hour or so just send me a PM.

    John, you're probably right on,just don't know the forumla here...investigating....(newbie with that stuff myself, so getting help)
