Work in an IM firm: For better or for worse?

I used to work full time in an SEM firm that specializes in Adwords management. It was a job that I undertook for close to a year and during that period, I got the chance to manage hundreds of campaigns, and for firms in all kinds of industries.

I've since left the job to pursue a part time degree and at the same time, got myself affiliated with IM. I have been able to earn more than what my previous job got me, and I'm confident that I can make it even better in the near future.

Now, as chance would have it, I have been given the chance to work in an IM firm again. Only that this time round, the prospects, reputation, and prestige of this company is much better.

I will be taking on a more important role as well, and to be honest, I am pretty excited about the prospect of this new project.

Now, I'm really at ease with what I'm doing now (affiliate marketing), and I truly enjoy the freedom that it gives me.

But on the other hand, I do have concerns over its long term viability so I do have fleeting thoughts of getting a job every now and then.

I would like to think that this job opportunity could be a good springboard for my career but I would just like to hear your thoughts.

I don't know, I think it all depends on what you want to do? Working for a company could help you be more focused, and also help with your networking. It would also be a consistent income.

Will this job hold you back in your personal venture? Or help you become even better? Will you be able to leave this job in two years even more competant and able to do this totally on your own?
