I just had a good idea...

First,

i read that other thread about "thinking big" and not limiting yourself to $27 ebooks. Truly a thread which opened my eyes.

This is something where i do need some "re-wiring", maybe stop what i do right now..and starting to think bigger.

What did i do the recent days, what did i do for MANY days now, in a row?
I can tell you, i made sites, sites, sites. I also know that MANY of those sites will probably never bring any decent ROI.

Anyway, i enjoy making sites/blogs. That's something i enjoy to do. And i can make a good looking site pretty fast.

Then i had an idea:

I go on google and search for sites "under construction". I am often amazed seeing business NOT being present on the web?

I just dont get!! I am a "little" marketing guy and i currently own approx 250 web pages. How can someone NOT have a website?

So...i will google all those "under construction" sites and offer them to make them sites!!

a) many of them are businesses

b) the fact that they HAVE sites (but they are under construction) means that they WANT a web presence - but for some odd reasons, lack of skills etc. they never finished it.

Tcha-tching!!

G.

Great idea! This is almost like offline gold except you wouldn't need to leave the house

One question though: how would you go about searching for businesses that have sites under construction?

what i do is just do a simple google search and where there is an email to contact someone.

To make this even better: OUTSOURCING. I think i might not even make the site(s) myself i will outsource this.

That is a really good idea. When you contact the website owner you may want to ask them why they have not completed the site. This may give you a better understanding of how to serve them best. For example, if it is a cost issue you may be able to make them a deal that benefits you both. If it is because their web designer has been dragging his or her feet you can offer to complete the project faster and possibly ask for an additional incentive for the speed at which you complete the site. The point is that knowing the site owner's concerns and frustrations will help you to serve them better and increase your chances of getting the job and developing a positive relationship.

Yeah it's the same in maryland. I unfortunately don't thave the time to take care of them. I have taken a project and I'm about done with it. It's easy money and you become a very reputable person.
