Canceled Paypal account displaces thousands of paying customers. Suggestions for alternates invited

Hi Warriors, I am a partner in a business that we launched in January and we now have 15000 members. A large majority are paying and Paypal have just shut us down. The business is based on monthly subscriptions and our money has been locked out. We have to remove every monthly subscription before they release our money. The other thing we have to do is start resubscribing all of our members back into the business.

I am giving you this background to see if anybody here has other alternate money processors that they use for their business?

We currently accept Alertpay, Linkpoint, Authorize.net and members are able to use western union. Although these payment processors are mainly allowed in the US and we are a global company.

Most members pay with paypal becasue it is easy and they have a paypal account.

I am looking for solution which we can implement by Monday at the latest so your advice or experience with other payment processors is appreciated.

i look forward to hearing from my fellow warriors.
thanks

Holy Moly that scares me. Can you share what got you shut down? I'd hate to lose my members that way.

Wow. I'm like the Stripe.com sales person.

Use stripe. I had a similar issue with a large paypal integration using the adaptive payments API.

We switched over to Stripe.com and the integration was incredibly simple. If you are just doing subscriptions, it will be a snap to set up. Plus, since they host all the credit card data off site, your compliance issues are drastically reduced.

Contact me if you have any questions regarding integration. You can literally get started in a few minutes.

So, a few questions need answering here.

    1. Who is your partner.

    2. What is your site that has attracted so many members in such a short space of time. -
we launched in January and we now have 15000 members
equates to 3,000 per month - I don't think the WF gets that many per month! and I know when that was launched.

    3. Paypal have just shut you down. Really? usually they limit your account and ask for details to be sent to them. You comply with their request, send the relevant legal documents and they phone you - yes they phone you and tell you the outcome of their limitation. Either it stays, or it goes away for you to trade another day.

    4. To cancel subscription payments in your PayPal account, just log in and go to a subscription payment in your records, click the link, choose see all subscription payments and cancel them all. Job done in about - well for 15000 perhaps HALF AN HOUR.

We currently accept Alertpay, Linkpoint, Authorize.net and members are able to use western union. Although these payment processors are mainly allowed in the US and we are a global company.
Perhaps your only solution is going to be worldpay as long as your site meets with their requirements/TOS/ Policies etc.

Now, remind me again, what is your site, what do you sell?

Your post here is a little like someone with a car (automobile) problem.

You are not telling us the make or the model.
You are not telling us the year of manufacture.
You are not telling us well anything really.
i look forward to hearing from my fellow warriors.
    thanks
"I" look forward to your reply.

Janet, I am going to assume Jamie is talking
    about this website.

    Network Marketing VT

Jame, No matter what option you choose, you are
going to have to resign all those people with your
    new provider.

Your going to lose a few in the changeover.

I would personally get into contact with paypal
and find out what the problem is.

If its a MLM, 2 tier or more program thats probably
the issue. 2 or more tiers is against paypal terms.

    Take Care,

    Michael Silvester

Oh dear! I signed up with this company and PayPal sent me an email saying my subscription was cancelled - I thought it was a phising email and didn't take any notice. Does that mean I won't get paid if I sign people up? I've only just joined 2 weeks ago. Has anyone got any advice for me please - I'm a newbie so all advise and guidance is greatly appreciated.

You don't need a new payment processor. You stated you have a merchant account...

You need to get your clients signed up and billed on that merchant account. Use a solution like Nanacast for the checkout and billing management then get a second merchant account as a backup. Nanacast can seemlessly swap between or even load balance between multiple merchant account gateways so that a similar situation does not take you down again.

People use PayPal out of convenience and trust... Now that you have been bitten go merchant processing through your authorize.net account or other merchant gateways and don't look back. This situation is all to common... If anyone reading this is considering recurring processing, take my advice, you won't be telling a similar story to this one which we have heard so many times over the last decade.

The best advice... If you can process recurring in a merchant account don't risk PayPal. Only use it for one time transactions.

I help people process millions and millions and this is the same advice I have given for many years as the ONLY way to avoid this type of unfortunate situation.
