Aside from creating a fan page or buying a facebook ad, is there any other way to get traffic from facebook? Is there another free source?

    Yes. You can get traffic by joining You "Niche" Group and share your link(only relevant) in these groups. It is very effective.

    Facebook Likes You can gain more traffic in facebook if you have a lot of subscribers and people talking to you( Personal/Fan Page). In order to achieve that you must create a call to action status or shall we say keep your facebook updated and more engage able.

    Best way to get lots of targeted traffic is through Facebook Ads. But since you want it free without the fan page way, maybe participating actively in your niche market's existing group/fan page is a good traffic source.

    Bartering is great if you can find the right people and pages in your niche. Both of you and your bartering partner have to offer great value. If both offers complement each other, it can create magic.

    This works greatly in my niches. I don't know how it would in others.

    Not an easy method, but it's free (because you asked for the free methods).

    Best way for free is interacting with niche like groups, facebook is about social, so being social can get you targeted traffic for free. Just takes a little time and effort.

    You have to promote your Facebook page to to get likes, fans and subscribers. Then add Facebook plugin on your blog and website to ingrate it with Facebook. Create an attractive profile. Be active and post regularly about your services or products or anything related, start a group, build your network.
