I have a webcam on my netbook, but I've never used it to actually, you know "capture" video. Is there a program that is pre-loaded to make it work to capture a video?

I feel really stupid asking this

If you have Windows 7, you should have the Windows Live Movie Maker. If it wasn't pre-installed, it's a free download.

I don't think it's a stoopid question. I don't think webcams are exactly designed to capture video as in the type you use for marketing and load to Youtube and stuff. They most often are set up to broadcast you sitting there is skimpy clothes doing your stuff and smiling and all.

There are other ways to shoot videos. There's screen capture video, which requires software or a Web based app. Then there's video where you get a real video camera (unlike the webcam) and put on plays and explain important marketing stuff.

I'm not much of a video guy so this might be all wrong. And if it is, we can be stoopid together.
