Clickbank question: Would this children's book be worthy of selling?

As some of you may know I'm a cartoonist. I've worked in news and comic books and animation for years.

A few years ago I put together and illustrated a full color children's book about stem cells. Many people are just now understanding what stem cells are and the miracles they're doing in laboratories. I mean we are seriously kickin' butt with stem cells and my boss is one of the leaders in the industry.

Anyhow, I suggested we put it as an ebook and have Clickbankers sell it.

The questions are would you be interested in selling it and what price would you suggest for a 24 page full color e-book on this subject?

This way I'll know best what to price it. The e-book will have the illustrations plus some video and audio of our director explaining the treatments and technologies behind stem cells.

      Greg, what a great idea for a book!

      If you list it on ClickBank you're going to want to connect with people who already have the audience that would be interested in this book.

      The good part about ClickBank is you can approach other websites about your book to have it listed and they can sign up to be an affiliate, they don't have to be an existing affiliate with ClickBank already.

      I don't think you're going to find much success with just getting other Warriors and ClickBank affiliates to promote the book unless they're already in your niche. That's why I suggest if you place it on ClickBank you'll want to reach out to find affiliates or potential affiliates already positioned to sell it.

      As for a price that is something you can adjust at any time. You could start at $14.95 or whatever and if you find you're getting decent traffic and it's not selling you could play around with your price.

      Personally, I would not be interested in selling it as I'm not positioned with an audience for that particular product, but I know there are people out there who are. People who have lists and websites targeted to Mothers, Educators, etc.

    I'd suggest to try Amazon to sell it rather than CB for this... CB is best for how to topics and niches that can sustain higher prices than $10 to $20

      I would disagree, I would try ClickBank first to get some traction. If you put it on Amazon you'll have to sell it for a MUCH lower price and if you're lucky you'll make a dollar or two per sale. In addition with ClickBank you build your own customer list that you can re-market other products to, either your own products or affiliate products, further enhancing your bottom line.

      Unless you're positioned to sell thousands of copies of your book or have a large media company behind you to help you promote it, I would recommend against Amazon for small time sellers. There's just no money in it and it's MUCH harder to make money a dollar at a time.
