If your site is not in google webmaster tool how can you be found in google search

Hi,

I've read a lot of 'rants' that they removed their sites from google webmasters tool so google will get no access to information of their sites. My question is can you still be seen on google search without this tool?

Yes, you can still be found on Google. Indexing (the fact that you appear on a search engine) has nothing to do with the Webmasters tool. If it had, the web would be a rather smaller entity... and you would need to have a webmasters tool for Bing, Yahoo and all the other search engines for a chance to rank on them.

Surely you can, you may even install XML sitemap on your blog without submitting to Google webmaster tool so it helps for better crawling while not passing anything to Google.

Google is VERY good at what it does. Unfortunately, part of SEO (even white hat SEO) involves a little bit of trickery that Google doesn't approve of. Most of it can be cloaked to cover your tracks, but if you give the Big G even more access that it needs, it'll just derail your efforts.

Not a single one of my sites is in the Webmaster stuff, yet every single page I have is listed (and mostly ranked) in Google.

Of course you can be seen be Google. >99% of websites in the world wouldn't use Google Webmasters tool.
