About.me is a cool online business card

I recently came across about.me, which I have started to use as an online business card whenever someone wants to get in touch with me. Look at my profile at Patrick O'Brien (pkobrien) on about.me, if you want to see my example.

They also have a way of integrating with the moo.com printing service to get real cards printed. Their one-time offer was 50 cards for $5.50. I'm still waiting on mine to arrive to see if they are any good.

Is anyone else using about.me and, if so, do you have any tips to share?

    I have a client who uses About.me. I set it up because she was putting all her social media sites in every e-mail. There were too many links and it looked unprofessional. I setup About.me for her and she just links to her profile there. She likes it.

      That's what I liked about it as well. It's such a simple idea but I think it has merit. Plus they have analytics to show if people are actually coming to your profile page. That's something simple and clever that I haven't seen any other profile service provide.

        Good news so far. I ordered my cards on the 8th and was kind of disappointed that the delivery time would be in 2 to 3 weeks, or something like that. But I wasn't in any kind of hurry to get them. Then on the 11th I got an email that they had been sent.

        I just checked the USPS tracking code and they were delivered this morning to my business PO Box. I should be able to stop there sometime this week and then I'll let you know what I think of them.
