Yes, it's very possible. How many people are doing it? Nobody really knows, but it's certainly not the majority, but I would say hundreds of thousands perhaps are. There Internet is a BIG place and $2500 a month isn't that much money when you look at the BILLIONS of dollars being spent online.

Product reviews are a good place to start and it's easy enough to get into, so I would say it's a safe bet, but it also depends on your niche, what you're reviewing, etc. It looks like you're thinking long term as you mentioned 5 years out. In that case I would recommend building a brand of some kind through your website, something that has stability and provides value that people come to trust.

    Good luck!!

yes as you have mentioned i have identified about 3 areas where i have a passion and that i can share my information with, which i think will be valuable to others who are interested in them. and while providing my information also promote affiliate products

so with roughly 25 hours a week on IM related work, and with 3 sites is my target of $2500 to $3500 per month for 5 years attainable or should i cut down on my expectations considering the number of hours i can put in to this ( 25 hours per week )

      thanks

Your goal is possible for anyone out there. Anyone. This includes you.

What most people (myself included) don't get when they first start out is that there a tens and hundreds of different methods to get into Internet Marketing. Here on the WF, you will find experts in every single field, and if you ask the question correctly, the proper expert will chime in.

Some area you can look at:
    • Article Marketing
    • Article Syndication
    • Graphics Design
    • Content Writing
    • Copy Writing
    • SEO / Natural Search Engine Ranking
    • PLR/MRR/Ebooks
    • Mini Niche Sites
    • Authority Sites
    • Amazon/Clickbank/eBay/etc etc sites
    • Product Review Sites
    • WordPress Theme Design
    • WordPress Plugin Creation
    • ...
and the list goes on and on and on.

Unless you have something you are very specific about, I'd suggest that you sit down and spend a few hours just reading through posts here at the WF and see what sounds like it might be fun & interesting to you. After that, see who seems to be the expert and then follow his/her posts and get what you can.

Don't forget to get a War Room membership. It will catapult you forward in your IM career and make that $2500 goal seem small.

The sky's the limit with IM - so many niches, so many different ways to deliver content, products, information to your target market - so "cheap" to start a website - the list goes on and on...

It's simple to understand but not easy to do - it's difficult but you can definitely hit your goals if you work hard and don't give up.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. After reading the posts i think my goal is pretty possible. but i do have a time limitation as i have mentioned in my 2nd post which is 25hours a week due to my work load. This is the amount of free time i can concentrate on IM and it would be great if i can achieve my goal spending this much of time.

You know the cool thing about making money online?

The more of it you make, the less important your "real" job becomes, and then you eventually replace it and IM is your real job.

I don't know about the stats, but if you want to succeed in any niche and have long term success, you have to start building a list from day1 .

As the gentleman above me said, list-building is def the way to go...however, if you're starting from scratch and you're solely focusing on 'list-building,' then you're going to have to get a pretty good grasp on different methods of traffic generation.

My advice would be to go the route of 'product creation' because not only will you make money with that when you sell your product, but the people who buy from you will also be added to your list. If they buy from you and don't get a refund, then that means they trust you (at least to some extent). At that point, when you start to further build on your relationship via email marketing (ie. not just spamming them with affiliate offers, but also offering them content and value) then they are likely to be much more responsive and buy from you in the future.

I didn't think I could be a product creator, but believe me...its much easier than you think

      All the best
