Well some of you are gonna hate me for this, but i recently bought a huge " optin email list " on fiverr. With about a million email adresses from people who double optin to the list. Anyways the fiverr gig got 114 good reviews 4 bad, just so you know.

How should I go about sending out this email, I wanted to promote some clickbank products with this and got sorta worried with all the anti spam laws and whatnot that I of course JUST read.

1. Would it be illegal for me to send these emails considering the list is double optin?

2. What is a good free smtp host that doesnt get filtered easily by spam filters?

And thats about it I guess.

    I suggest you read this

The CAN-SPAM Act: A Compliance Guide for Business | BCP Business Center

before you do anything at all with that list. If whatever you're going to do is compliant with the law, then you might be OK.

Wow, ok that shines a ton of light on this, I dont know why I didnt just read it before. Ok so just make sure they know its an ad, and provide a way to opt out of my emails... wonderful.

I was going to use this as a way to market some affiliate products.

Don't think i've ever seen an IM'r every follow the include physical address part of CAN-SPAM, so thanks for listing that JaRyCu. To the OP my advice is to opt-in to some high profile lists yourself using a throw away email and take note of how they promote their products. It's best to replicate what works versus just trying to wing it.

If I was getting spammed by 114 people, I'd use a new email address.

You won't be able to mass email, autoresponders won't let you use that list! This is spam!!! These people never opted in to receive stuff from you!!!

Don't mean to rain on your parade but the list will be useless and low quality and will not make a single sale! Why the hell would someone sell the list for a fiver? If it ever got any clicks then the list owner would make a fortune doing adswaps and solos!

If your gonna do it, do it properly! Build a list with people who know what you are about and build relationships!! Hate to say it but there are no short cuts, if there was do you really think you could pay $5 and promote to a million people!!!

Best tip for you in any business........if it seems too good to be true.....you know the rest!!!!

this is the worst thing you can EVER do

    never ever buy email lists

you need to build one yourself. you really need to understand that list building is something that you have to do

you cant cheat your way to the top and just buy your email list

remember slow and steady wins the race

It might be relevant for you to know that in this forum, for more than a decade now, it's been considered a banning offense to endorse the sending out of unsolicited bulk promotional email. Just so you (and those potentially replying) know.

In the longer term (if there is a "longer term" for you, with internet marketing), it might also be relevant for you to understand why you almost certainly wouldn't make one single sale of a ClickBank product that way, anyway: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5210243

I'm never one to endorse mass mailings, and I'm sure you're one of those hoping to make millions of dollars with the one million email list you bought for $5.

Your misunderstanding of how things work of this forum is of the highest caliber.

Also, you bought for $5 something that's gonna make you 1000s of dollars with one click.

    Totally makes sense.

In addition to the above, it is explicitly against Clickbank's TOS to send email to anyone who has not requested to receive such messages, including mass email. Clickbank has a very strict TOS policy (Terminate On Sight).

Seriously, do not email that list. You will just be asking for trouble. If the list has been sold to the point of 114 reviews there is potentially a lot more people who have bought it. Think of the amount of email the people on that list probably get. Additionally, these are NOT opt in... they may have opted in to somebody but they definitely did not opt in to you and are probably pretty ticked off about right now at all the emails bombarding their in boxes. Do yourself and all involved with lists like that a big favor and avoid it completely.
