HELP- EXCELLENT WRITER STRUGGLING TO FIND WORK

hi Warriors,
I am a great writer who is really struggling to find work. In the last 4 months, one tragedy after another has nosedived my earnings from $400 per week to $0.The worst part is everything that has happened had nothing to do with my performance or attitude. I am really struggling at the moment and already tried Freelancer, Odesk, Fiverr, Craigslist, etc. Can anyone point me to where to find work this week as I don't even have money for groceries? I have experience in Article Writing, SEO Writing, Blogging, eBooks and written in niches ranging from Legal to Medical as well as Finance, IM, etc.

Thanks
Chuck

    Hi Chuck,

First of all I am very sorry to hear what you have been going through. Times can be tough but believe me, all this happens before you are going to get some huge success, so don't get discouraged, something good is definitely going to happen shortly.

For finding article writing works, if you are actually a good writer & have something to spend, I would suggest you to post an ad in Warriors for hire section. You can do articles & write ebooks. Make sure you post good writing examples & believe me, you will get orders.

And if you don't have the money post the ad yet, then you can try Fiverr. If you can post link to your good article writing samples there as well then I am sure you will start getting lots of orders there. I am not too sure why you failed at Fiverr earlier but if you are a such a good writer you are claiming to be then you should try Fiverr again.

Apart from it, there are many article writing services which will gladly hire you if you are experienced. Just search for them, keep trying, never ever give up & you will get the success.

I wish you all the very best, may God bless you.

    Cheers
    Ciel!

You can post a thread at warriors for hire forum but first you should offer free review articles to warriors and ask them to write a review, if you are a good writer you can easily make enough money from warrior forum since the demand for good articles is huge...

    Hi Chuck,

How about you try to advertise on other big forums like: BHW (black hat world), If i come across someone that is looking for a writer I will refer them to you.

Another suggestion you should look into. If you're writing is so good, try and bundle 10-10 such articles into PLRs and sell them right here on the WSO forum. You should earn a lot more per word than just selling your services.

You can also post in your signature. More eyeballs equal more sales.

Have you tried constant content and the content authority as well as Fiverr of course.

For example you post a rewrite article service on Fiverr and offer a $20 commissioned article.

You can also offer services on here and I would suggest you get some connections on here.

    Good Luck!

Since no one else, did, I'll be the jack @$$ in the room and ask this:

If you're such a great writer, why are there so many typos in this small post? If this post is in any way indicative of your writing style, you might need to work on it a little.

I thought this as well, but it's probably not fair to judge. Should someone be expected to type in perfect English and grammar all the time? No. I certainly worry about my typos and such when emailing clients/customers but I never do when emailing friends.

That being said, my opinion is that all writers in the forum should always double check their posts before submitting to them. Everyone in here is a potential customer and you should probably treat your posts like you would your articles.

        Hey Chuck

I feel for your situation and trust things will get better. As you have NO money at all, your best bet is to go with iWriter, as mentioned by another poster. It's not ideal as the payouts are small, when you first start, but if you literally have no money to buy groceries then sacrifices need to be made.

I've never used iWriter myself, but I understand that you will be able to start earning money right off the bat which will then get paid directly into your PayPal account. Be prepared to write your socks off though...

        All the best

I wasn't trying to be a smart @$$ (this time). This forum is so valuable for picking up potential clients that you can never let your guard down. I re-read every post that I make twice before hitting submit and then go back and read it again after I've submitted it. If you look at my post history, you'll see a string of posts that I "edited for typos" or a similar reason.

Go back out into the main forum listing and look at the number of views compared to the number of replies. Some of these threads can garner 20+ views for every reply and your post could be potentially seen by thousands of potential customers. If you're a writer with typos . . . .

Trying to be helpful, as an excellent writer you might want to write your posts free from errors as it is a reflection of your writing skills.

If you don't have money for groceries or money for Warriors for Hire I recommend you step away from the computer and get outside and offer lawn mowing/handyman/yard cleanup ... to your neighbors for cash. Fastest way to get some money with no money.

    Jay is correct.

Everyone makes typos (I'm the queen of typos) but when you're a writer it's important to try and make your post as perfect as possible. I rarely ever hit the "post" button without then seeing I've made an error. I then have to edit and fix the problem. I'm sure I've let many slip by me.

But there are a lot of people on this forum who hire writers and they will take notice of how many mistakes you make in your posts. This includes simple things like capitalizing the correct words.

I second the suggestion to use your signature file as much as possible. Link to a free site with samples until you can set-up a paid site.

    Hi Chuck,

This is meant to help you in the long run.

Jason is correct, and I will add to what he said...

Saying you are a great writer does not make it so.

Now, perhaps you don't write your articles in the same manner as you write your posts, BUT you have to remember that EVERYTHING you write here WILL be judged by potential clients. It's a fact.

It's not about using "perfect" grammar (I know I don't), but goodness gracious, learn how to use basic capitalization!

    Basic.

I have to be honest, and don't want this to sound rude, but based on what I have seen so far, I would not hire you as a writer. Your syntax is passable, but to not even understand the basics of what words are capitalized forces me to wonder what other basics you are lacking in. (Notice how I "incorrectly" ended that sentence with a preposition?)

We are not trying to kick you while you are down, but rather trying to let you know how to lift yourself back up.

SUGGESTION: Go through and edit ALL of your posts in THIS thread, and show us that you DO know your stuff.

It may not be fair, but if you are offering your services as a writer, then you do NOT have the luxury of "letting your guard down" when your audience is comprised of potential customers.

    All the best,
    Michael
