Setting Up a JV Giveaway in non-IM niche?

Hi. I am in the relationships niche (saving, improving, etc) and looking to build my list. I know JV Giveaways are an awesome way to do this in the IM-niche, but can't find any such events for my niche. So I thought, "Well, why don't I just set one up myself?" - but other than contacting various other blogs/sites in my niche, I'm not sure how to actually set one up in practice, and the pitfalls involved - anyone able to point me in the right direction for a guide to setting up a JV Giveaway event, or even give me a couple of pointers based on your own experiences?

Has anyone heard of/used Run Your Own Giveaway - Build A List Fast for organising a JV Giveaway? Came across them in some research, wondered about anyone's experiences of them?
