I disagree "only exact match matters" Rubbish! Doesnt matter how you search it shows people want to delete facebook. I dont use it.

That's exactly what's going to happen...if I take a minute and reflect on my own social media experience, it reads like this:

1) IRC
2) ICQ
3) MSN Chat
4) MySpace
5) FB
6) Google+

Of course, toss in some blogs and forums for good measure (AWCC, GFY, MT, various car forums, and now WF)...social media has to evolve, or it will die.

Facebook is present and future. You can't live without it!

As their IPO launches, it seems that Facebook is being sued for $15 Billion for improper user tracking. Basically, the suit claims that Facebook invaded privacy by tracking users, whether they were logged into Facebook or not.

The suit, filed in the Federal Court in California, combined 21 total cases from around the Country. This figure in the suit is based on US Wiretap Act, and says that based on this law, it "provides statutory damages of the greater of $100 per violation per day, up to $10,000, per Facebook user."

This is how rumors get spread.

I been making a 5 figure a month income from FB for close to 8 months now and I have not seen a drop in anything.

If anything sales have been a ton better.

As long as people are using facebook to find their friends and government officials are using FB to catch crooks FB won't be going anywhere.

FB is to good of a resource for it to die.

So lets see

To date it now has over 900 million users

Does it seem like it's dieing.

Look at any major corporation and there is a well defined life cycle which most companies transition through over time.

Unless corporations figure out how to overcome increasing competition, the introduction of new technologies and the interference of stockholders, boards of directors and the whims of the market, all corporations are vulnerable to an eventual demise.

Some corporations reinvent themselves along the way and come out of a period of difficult transition bigger, better and stronger. Others continue in a death spiral until they disappear from the landscape.

Examples? Microsoft, IBM, Borders Books & More, Best Buy. Remember when Yahoo was the dominant force in search? Remember when Borders were giving Barnes & Noble a run for their money?

The Web and Social Media is still in transition. New SM sites come and go at the blink of an eye. Some take root and sprout.

Is it the Beginning of the End for Facebook? It depends how well they adapt to being a public company, whether they can monetize more efficiently, if they can battle Google for search engine position.

Only time will tell. At this point they are at a tipping point. It could go either way for FB but if they do start to have problems it will probably not show up for some time.

Facebook is like a gigantic freight train. Try stopping any train with tons of cars. It takes a very long time to stop a major train like Facebook.

I for one am not going to make any predictions, just wait and watch.
