Do you have faith in your products/projects?

Hey Warriors,

I've reached out recently to help people promote their products, WSOs, and websites via PPC and Digital Marketing. While I've received many inquiries, I come to realize that many aren't willing to put their own money into things they're creating and verbally backing. The problem here is if you have faith in your offerings, you would put your money on the line. In fact, there's no reason you wouldn't as you've spent the time to get the stuff created, whether you did it or someone else did.

In short, if you have something you want to promote that you believe adds value to the IMers/any other audience online, expect to throw some money at it and value the people doing the work you're not familiar with. We care as much about your success as you do. However, that respect degrades as your perception of our expertise is degraded. Value us and we'll value you.

Thanks for letting me rant

Kyle

Kyle, have you considered that maybe the issue is people not willing to trust their money with you? I think that's a more accurate conclusion to come to.

The reason I say that is because PPC networks make a lot of money. Many PPC consultants make a lot of money. And many product vendors believe 100% in what they have to offer.

So while some people may not believe in their product, there are many others that do. And they are willing to invest in the right people to handle their marketing. Don't worry about the others who don't beleive in their products, they won't make it very far.

I looked over your JV thread and you say you have experience but don't back it up. I'm not saying you need to pull out the charts and go over the statistics you've generated for clients (although that would help), but you could at least mention some of the people you worked with and the results you generated.Tell people how long you've been doing this. Tell them why they should trust you.

Anyone can claim they have experience in PPC, show us why we should believe you. Then you'll find that people are more willing to invest their money with you.

Many people here (myself included) have been burned by others claiming the same thing. We want to trust others because lets face it, we can't do everything on our own. But at the same time we need to be careful about who we trust. So give us a little more than just broad claims.

Fair enough. Thanks for the reply. Maybe I was a bit trivial in my post. I guess my mentality is regardless of what I can offer and what the other person can offer, I'd like people to seek help where they need it so their mentality that all facets of IM need to be done by themselves. Being a little more specific in my offerings would certainly helps. I appreciate the insight, Dan. Glad you stepped into this one.

No problem, just wanted to give you another perspective. There are a lot of people who just simply won't invest in someone else no matter how much credibility and trust they build up. Some people are too proud to hand over their marketing to someone with more experience. And others, like you said, just don't believe in what they have to offer.

I say screw them. There's no money in that market and if you can land them as clients they'll just be a pain in the a**. Go after the big guys that are spending money. That's where the long term money is in the consulting biz.

To land those kind of clients you really need a solid offer. Maybe you could team up with a copywriter? Do a JV deal where a copywriter writes your ad copy and you do some PPC management for him/her. Just an idea.

        Hi

In answer to your title question, yes I do have faith in my products, absolutely. They come from tried and tested methods that make money and certainly add value to practically everyone who reads them.

If you are not succeeding in the way you want all you have to do is break it all down and look at the restraints.

What is it in your business that is restraining you from making money? There is clearly something that is off centre.

I look at what I think my restraint is and work backwards:

        i.e

If i had a big list i could make money
        why don't you?

Cause I don't have enough traffic
        why don't you?

        cause I can't afford it
        Why can't you?

You can't afford it because you are not converting the traffic that is currently being driven to your site - poor sales page!?!? If you did convert you would have a list wouldn't you? If you had a list you could make money.

Just an example but search for the real restraints in your business they are probably different to the ones you are currently thinking of.

That's the bread and butter of my method. I call it "completing the loop". Thanks for the contribution.

I think I'm still a bit heated by the handful of conversations I've had with people that want my help but don't respect my rates. Still getting the "can you reduce rates for now until..." shtick. I hate being all business with clients but it seems to be the best way to reduce the time I sacrafice talking to noobs. There's a time and place!

    What you say is right.

A few months ago I was buying WSO's on this forum but then I realized that many of them had comments from ''friends'' and none of them was serious. People that maybe never ever opened that WSO to see what it was about posted on the thread giving lets say ''Good review''.
Now I stopped buying WSO's here and I'm working at my own projects, I'm putting time and money into them and I decided that I will support only things that I really test and think that they worth my time and money!

Did you see people that promote paid WSO's at their email lists and they say that they are using all of them? 1 or 2 different methods every day for months? That's not good at all, that's just throwing crap and hope that someone will buy something that you know nothing about! I was frustrated in the beginning when I spent some money and realized that those WSO's didn't worth anything and I promised to myself to never do that!

Yeah, most WSO's are repackaged crap. However, people will continue to buy them. Furthermore, some are stacked with great info so I think it's about knowing what you want to learn and making sure you align yourself with the best resources.

Comparing spending money on WSO's or consulting somebody with expertise, I would recommend talking to someone ANY DAY.
