PR 7 with no visible backlinks

I just negotiated a backlink on a PR7 site
when I did a backlink check on this site the result said 8 outgoing links but 0 zero back links
I find that a bit strange
What do you think ?

    Firstly, you must make sure its pagerank is real.

    It is entirely possible that its pagerank is real as I have owned PR6 and PR7 sites with little or no pagerank.

    However, the chances are that its pagerank will be devalued markedly soon.

    grumpyb, watch out my friend. There are many "pr sellers" who spoof their pagerank. Anybody can spoof their pagerank, you just need the right script to pull it off.

    PM the link of the site and I'll check if the PR is real or not.

    Wherever there is money to be made, you can always count on the scammers, trying to get in through the back door.

    If any site doesn't have many backlinks, especially if these are low quality links, then I wouldn't be paying to have your link on this site. You want to find relevant sites that also have quality relevant sites pointing to it. When you then get a link of this site, the value of that link will be higher and will help increase your rankings.

    It's not only a bit strange, it's a clear indication for faked Pagerank, since every real, established PR7 site would have heaps of backlinks. Stay away!

    I can tell you this. A PR 7 site HAS to have links showing up in Google. Google only lists backlinks with a PR4 and higher. Sounds to me like you are getting scammed GrumpyB.
