Squeeze Page + Blog Platform? need advice

Dear Warriors,
I am planning to rebrand one of my squeeze pages, and I would like to make some changes in the way I was creating them.
I was reading a lot about integrating Squeeze Pages in Wordpress, to use all its advantages, among them Facebook and Tweeter integration.

I would like to hear your opinions about this, what would be the most advisable way to make this happen?

I was thinking the following:
A squeeze page in a static wordpress page, with a video presenting stuff, a Like button, a ReTweet button, and obviously the opt-in form... reason of the buttons are just to incentive people to share the page if they liked it (maybe I can indirectly ask for them to do it in the video).

Then In the Email series of the autoresponder, I was thinking about creating like 10 articles, and posting them on the blog. Then in the emails I just share the link for them to go to the post directly. So if they like what they read, I will add there as well the like and retweet buttons for sharing purposes.

If they share on their FB or Tweeter accounts, other people might be interested in the post, they see the so called "blog", and they find themselves interested in what they are seeing. There will be a "HOME" tab where they can go and they will find the introductory video and the opt-in form.

Also, being a blog, with a bit of SEO in each post, I can get some free organic traffic.

What do you think about this approach? what would be the pros and cons about it?

thanks in advance!

Not a bad approach. Thoughtful, well researched content will build tons of creditably for your squeeze page offer (not to mention all the free organic traffic). Its pretty hard to get sales page to go viral, a good blog post on the other hand can really get you some exposure...go for it!

If you have the time and resources, I would recommend doing more than 10 articles. The more you have, the better chance you have of reaching people and the better chance you have of going viral. The most success really comes in volume. The more content you have, the better you will do.

Thanks for all your responses guys.
In fact I don't exactly want to go viral, or at least it is not the main intention. My aim here is to exploit social exposure with tweeter and facebook, giving an easy way for my subscribers to promote the resources I give to them.

You can do this with OptimizePress, it is often mentioned here on forum and probably
the best and simplest solution for squeeze pages in Wordpress.

Also, besides the squeeze page, make sure to insert autoresponder opt-in forms
prominently on all your blog pages to maximize opt-ins.
