How NOT to win your readers over...

Way to win over your readers, dude! Hilarious!
Admittedly, this was from some spam site. But lately, it's not surprising to get this kind of trash from actual Internet Marketers. I am amazed at how many people use tricks just to get you to open their emails!
My point... if you have to use "tricks" to get your emails opened then your list is made up of the wrong people. You need to create a list of "raving fans" by offering actual value and building a relationship. There is plenty of info around on how to do this yet 99% of emails seem to be still using methods that turn GOOD subscribers away.
Yes, some of these tricks work, and yes, you can make some decent cash using them... but personally (in MY own personal opinion) my conscience can't live with tricking people into doing stuff that does nothing but line my pockets.
Regards
Ben
PS: Take Frank Kern for example. Some of his subject lines wouldn't get opened if they were from anyone else but him. But because they are from him, they get opened. He doesn't need to use "tricks" because he has created a raving fan base by creating value and building a relationship with his readers. I wish more Internet Marketers would take this approach too! It's no wonder I.M. is getting a bad name in the Press.
