What's the number one thing that you still find tough to accomplish?

Just like the title says, what's the one thing about internet/affiliate marketing that you find tough to accomplish?

Is it time management? Traffic generation? Web design? Content creation? Building a List? Etc....

I thought this would be a nice topic of discussion, since we all have our strengths and our weaknesses. In fact, this might open those "hard headed" people out there who think they have no weaknesses, but will come to find out that there is something that they could improve on.

For me currently, I've got two - Building a highly responsive list and time management.

I'm relatively new to list building, so I'm just taking it day by day. My biggest problem is getting my list to respond well overall.

And, my time management skills aren't the best. I start WAY too many projects without finishing them. Once I get burnt on one, I move onto the next. Definitely something that needs a good fixing if you ask me.

So, what is it that you find that you just "can't" seem to accomplish?

    Always a highly relevant question.

Building a responsive list is a challenge, particularly on a low budget start.
This has been particularly tough for me and my business partner.

But the lack of building a responsive list is a systemic thing - it is a result of the lack of highly targeted website traffic (lack of funds goes without saying).

Some lists are more responsive than others, however, even the big list holders will tell you it is a numbers game. If you can get more than 2% of your list to buy, then you are doing great. You really need a large list, and they must be highly motivated, backed with trust in what you offer.

But this still goes back to getting the highly targeted website traffic to your opt in page. You must get the right people to your page to sign up.

So if you are having difficulty building a list, your real problem is getting enough highly targeted traffic to your list.

      Thanks for the input.

You see, I honestly don't think that it's really about a huge list. A lot of the big guys DO have huge lists, but all they do is send out offer after offer. And they can do that, because they already have a big brand built around their name, so most people accept this constant swarm of selling hitting their inbox with every mailing.

I think the better the relationship, the better chance you have of selling to a smaller list.

My traffic is pretty targeted too, as I have been tracking it all down to the core. I'm going to make a few changes to some copy on my opt-in page, and play around with some other things to see if I can increase conversions. I just haven't had the time to do so (hence my need to work on time management).

Honestly, having a life. It's the kind of thing that IM is so consuming that the hours fly by and I realize that I am STILL on the computer. It can be like 11 pm and I realize that I haven't eaten dinner yet.

I'm at the point where I'm making good money online. Now, I have to be able to enjoy it.
