Clickbank affiliate frustration!!!

I have a domain I just use to forward to a clickbank affiliate I like. (I promote the site offline.)

You go to my domain and it takes you to the affiliate's sales page. It has my clickbank id in the address bar, so I know it's my hop link.

However, when you click the buy button, and scroll down to the bottom, the affiliate says "none."

I go in, get a new hop link, re-forward the domain and it works for about a day. The next day I check and again, "affiliate=none"

What's going on here? This is so frustrating!!!

Rawr!! It's still not working. I cleared my cache and cookies, tried from another browser, another computer. Same thing. I just changed it again a few hours ago and it worked right away. Now it's back to saying "none"

Thanks surenpp. I just reforwarded it an hour ago. I bet by the end of the day though, it'll be back to "none"

Could this be the product owner himself doing this? Can he go in and change the id, as to take sales away from me?

I've noticed something similar, but my problem was the other way around. I was trying to check how it looks without my id, and despite clearing the cache and cookies, it kept showing my id.

How about trying to get an affiliate ID from another product to see if it's because of the technical problems or that particular product's problem.

It is because they don't encourage people buying from their own affiliate link. I get that some times but if you check it using a different ip address you will see that it carries your affiliate link. May be check it on a friends computer or say a computer at work etc.

      Hope that helps

I had a similar problem and as Pindich noted, when I used a different computer (friends house) my affiliate link showed.

Do you just start noticing this?

    Do you track your link?

What's your sales like compare to visitor (click).

Has it affect your sales in any way?

Hi Lateef, the OP made his observations back in May (and hasn't been online here at all for the last 6 weeks) ... "just saying".
