Hi all

Its good to be back and having the ability to post again after a quick spell offline due to the wonders of the human body!

Since being back, and not for the first time, I see common questions rearing their ugly heads again. Most of these questions raised seem so important to many but all fail to grasp the simple 5 principals of the real way to make it online (of course there are subtle derivatives).

I make no bones about this and feel free to slate or comment on (in a productive way) this post.

By this I mean your ENTIRE focus and questions should only be about nailing the following (in no particular order):

1. Traffic
2. Conversions
3. Product Creation
4. Getting It All Up and Running
5. Tracking - track every traffic source to your site (thanks to trafficmasters and RSMarketing for the reminder!) to find what traffic sources are bringing sales.

Work on these five areas and you will make it. Focus on one and fall by the wayside.

    I am entirely focused on number 3 and 4

    makie my stuff and set up the systems to sell it properly

    but I really want to be doing numbers 1 & 2

    traffic + conversions = $$$$$

    Many thanks for your valuable response. Personal experience says that you should consider building a list and ramping up traffic with paid resources such as solo ads. Work out your product conversion rates and you may end up making more money than the cost of the solo ad. The next approach is to start and affiliate program and contact as many potential JV partners in your niche.

        The one thing you need to add to this and anything you put out to help newbies, the one thing I think is MOST important.....

        TRACK EVERYTHING!!


        Either get some paid software to run on your own server (recommended) or use a free remote service.
        Run Google Analytic's on every page you put up!

        If you don't know where your sales are coming from, you won't know where to continue promoting.
