Hey everyone!

I have a question regarding, YouTube traffic. Say, you have uploaded some videos, put your hyperlink in the description.

Now do you see traffic from "YouTube - reff", or "Direct Traffic"? For the last few weeks I have seen a jump in my "Direct Traffic". My question is, do you feel people copy and paste the url into the browser instead of clicking the hyperlink? It dosnt make sense to me, since most people are going to go the easy route, by clicking the hyperlink right?

I am not complaining, I am just curse to see how it looks on your end.

Never thought about that tbh but I just checked mine and it's coming from Youtube/referral

As long as it keeps on coming I don't mind what way I get it

Not to insult your knowledge but is the the link clickable when you view your video? Viewers are probably forced to copy and paste. Another reason could be that you audience is in the older demographic and their computer skills aren't that great.

Yes, my link is clickable. All you do is put Http:// in front of it, witch makes it automatically hyperlink.... I have tested it with all my videos so i know its clickable..... I just think its odd they are copy and pasting instead of clicking through....

Youtube traffic is classed as referral traffic. Brilliant way to get traffic but you've gotta have a super strong call to action as they're so many distractions/leaks on your typical Youtube page.

The first thing is you need to have a click able link on your video.
If the link is not click able, and the video is interesting, people might copy and paste the link in url.
if the link is click able, then the traffic would seem to be coming from Youtube / ref
