Quick Trick to Discovering New Niches

Thought I'd share this little tip I came up with on my own one day, which has allowed me to promote and profit on some niche products I'd never even dreamed of before.

This is really only for Gmail users. (Sorry)

You know when you receive emails, you get a list of PPC ads on the right hand side of your screen?

Those ads are being pulled from keywords in your emails.

You'd be surprised how many ideas I've come up with, just by looking at the ads that have shown up in my Gmail account!

I get a lot of military related emails, and I've now stumbled into some profitable PPC campaigns related to military gear and equipment.

I did some tracking and testing with Affiliate Espionage before I put up some fresh campaigns of course.

And thats it.

So, don't overlook the obvious! There's a lot of things to promote out there other than what's on Clickbank.

    It seems to me this is just where it begins. (Excellent, by the way) During
    the last year I've developed a marketer's mindset. Without being obsessive,
    I just keep my eye peeled for the small things most people walk by. Watch
    billboards, listen to what kids are talking about, what do people complain about,
    wish for. Where would they be if they could be somewhere else. Why do they
    love or hate their jobs? What are they afraid of? What inspires them? Where do
    they want to be in a year or ten? Anyway, you get the idea. Just open your eyes.
    (like you did) with the eyes of a marketer and it will amaze you the ideas an average
    day will present. Oh Yeah, you gotta hang up the stupid cell phone long enough to
    be aware of what is around you.

    I think that was the turning point for me too - being able to see the world through the eyes of a marketer. This has actually made me more observant too - a great side benefit.

    Along the same lines, magazines are a great way to discover great niches. If there is a magazine for it, there is definitely a following and demand. How to leverage this already existing market for virtually any magazine? The advertiser's pages of course

    See what's being advertised and study the sales copy, promote the products as an affiliate, etc. Do some simple research and you could stumble across a gold mine.
