Amazon S3 experiences?

I believe they've been around for a while without problems, I remember people using them for years now.

The latter meaning no matter where you are in the world you are getting a more direct link to that video as opposed to it being relayed all over the place before the video is viewed. So, that provides no delay viewing etc.
