HELP! How can I make $250 within 6 days?

Hi Warriors,
Please help me. I don't know what to do.
I'm desperately in need of money by May 25.

I was making money on bidding sites like Elance for almost 2 years now. But this time I'm not getting enough jobs and I already have no savings. My family don't know about my problem.

I was thinking of selling my first wordpress theme, that I had been building for a month now.
The problem is that I don't know how to sell it.
I was supposed to sell it on themeforest.net, but I really need money now.

Please give me advice.
I'm willing to do anything.

Thanks,
Danilo

I think themes take time to sell to make sure that they are legit and not copied or owned by someone else. It would be cool if someone with more experience could chime in about this process.

Sorry to say but making money on line doesn't happen over night, not in my experience. Maybe you can sell something that you own or go get a day job?

    All the best.

      Hi Christiani,
My theme is unique. I build it from scratch, from photoshop to wordpress coding. You can even sort and filter the post, which only few themes have.

My only choice today is to make money online. It will take a very long time to get a day job in our place.

If I just have other choice, I don't like to sell this theme because I have more plan for it.

      Thanks anyway.

You'll need to find a direct buyer for the theme in that case. ThemeForest takes a couple days to review themes, they reject over 70% of all submitted themes, and they issue payment monthly.

Your best bet is a quick job on odesk or elance or selling something you have lying around.

Also you can teach photoshop or Wordpress online. I mean you can promise to teach people online (through Skype or similar softwares ) things that are good at. Promise to teach them for one month and ask them to pay you at least a quarter of it in advance.

You could create a quick WSO teaching people how to use the "search" button here on the Warrior Forum. I can give you a quick breakdown that you can feel free to use in your WSO and only owe me a 1% royalty from your sales for:

    1) Click the search button.
1a) IGNORE the 'new post' button.
    2) Type in whatever you were going to call your new post, such as "Help! How can I make $250 within 6 days?"
    3) Hit the search button.
    4) Count to 1.
    5) Look at all the lovely results of similar topics posted in the last few days.

    One time offer / Upsell:

How to search the Warrior Forum from Google.com:

    1) Go to Google.com.
    2) type in the following code:
    Code:
    site:warriorforum.com "keywords"
    3) Replace keywords with your proposed new thread title as stated above.
    4) Count to 1.
    5) Look at all the pretty results.

If you give away 10 review copies, those noobs can spread the word as your affiliates that you are showing others that the Warrior Forum actually has an amazing search feature that everyone with an account is free to use. You will be rich beyond your wildest dreams with 5 days, giving you one extra one to sleep before meeting your deadline.

I agree that we do see a lot of similar threads (and they get annoying), but I think that in this case he's asking for advice on how to sell his skills/expertise, and not "what would you do with $X,XX?"

I have seen equal amounts of both. I suppose, since I am supposed to be helpful (even on Friday nights when any sane single guy would have a date), I could tell him to use my advice from the previous post and search for the thread by Paul Meyers that lists an insane number of ways he could make 10x $250 in the next week, huh?

EDIT: OK I did it myself. Since I've read it, I knew more what to look for than the OP did. Here's the link to the thread he needs to read (and it's not sarcastic, despite how the title sounds):

Fair enough. Haven't seen that thread, going to look it up now - I could use an extra $250 as well

I have to ask - once you get the $250, will you need more the next week?
I don't know if everyone will agree with me, but when you're looking for quick $$, you tend to lose focus and end up wasting a lot of time. Take a step back, work out what you have to offer and then work out how you can sell it.

The best thing to do would be to take what you know, offer it as a service here under Warriors for hire.
Also - set up your own sales page for your theme, link to it in your signature. Do this on as many web design/development/marketing forums as you can. You'll definitely drive traffic to it that way - then you just need to convince them to buy it.

I buy themes all the time - even if I don't have a use for them yet. If it's a great theme, I'm sure it'll do well.

If you can provide a really really good service then why not try offering them to our fellow warriors. It can take a shorter period of time to get the $250 you needed than bidding on a job at elance.

I understand what you are going through, I hope you'll end up getting what you need.

    Regards,
    Ryuchi

I suggest you to try affiliate programs, but your problem is the time. Up to 25 sounds bad. I hope you will find out how to solve your problem.
