Help!!! I am stocked transfering from old whm cpanel accounts to new one

I run a web hosting business. I was running a shared hosting and I got a new host.

I have been trying to transfer all accounts from my old to new. my new host is not being helpful.

What I did:

I went to the new whm, added cpanel accounts for each domain , then went to the old whm, went to each panel and cliked on Backup wizard, selected full backup, chose ftp(passive mode transfer, on reote server ftp, I added domainname.com, on ftp user name, I added the user name I created and then added password, finally I added 21 on the port and directory, I added /home.

i got mail for transfer on my email.

Now I went to the new whm, then each cpanel, then went to backupwizard, then restore. This is where I got stocked as I did not see any option for full backup. But I saw for partial backup that has only option of uploading.

I cant see what I transferred fro old server.Pls what have i done wrongly here? how do I solve this as the old host hosting expires in just two days now.

Your best best is to go to cPanel/WHM's own forums. They'll help you there.

This is what you do as it sound like you have a reseller account and don't have root access

Firstly I suggest is to dump you new host if they won't help. Join scalahosting or innohosting (more expensive) as they will help you restore your backup and is very reasonable for a reseller account. Also running a webhosting business you should know how to do all this.

    1) If you have a domain already running on you new host login to your old accounts one by one and do a cpanel full backup using ftp to move full backup to new host in the backup of the domain
    2) When done insure all the backup files is in the public_html folder
    3) Move all the backup files to the root folder
    4) Ask you new host to restore all the full backup domain
    5) If they can't do that for you your new host is on a master reseller host - just dump them and get other host

    1) If for some reason you can't ftp to new host (as some block remote ftp access) you have to download to local computer and upload to new host in the root folder
    2) Follow the step as above

Both scalahosting.com and innohosting will help you. I used scalahosting for 2 years with no hassles until I moved to a VPS with wiredtree.

You donot have root access so you can't restore yourself

    Anymore ? ask
