I recently completed a fitness ebook. My question is what is the best means to market it. Should I have two websites, one run by optimize press for a sales and squeeze page, and another containing my blog and other information about myself? If optimize press has the capabilities to run a blog then I'd rather combine the two if possible and only have to cover the costs of one website. Any advice would be appreciated.

You can always set up one blog/website and then funnel your visitors through either a hidden page designed as a squeeze page if your theme is made for that.

If your theme does not offer any type of child themes to make designing a squeeze easily then just create a simple HTML squeeze page and put it in its own directory at the root domain, name the folder something like special-offer.

Either way you definitely do not have to have two websites. If you need any help with it LMK I'd be glad to help.

Try to create a simple website containing basic information about your product and yourself. Then get some visitors through Adwords. If you can convert visitors into buyers, ask them what they think about the product and your website. Based on their feedback, you can continually make adjustments.

A blog works but it requires a lot more time and effort to get any tangible results. Only create one if you are confident your product is meant for the long term.

I think you should have 2 websites. A page is to give customers a document, e book (or something similar) to customers (squeeze page). The main purpose is to collect information.
Page 2 is the sale page. Where you introduce your product. Sale page will be sent to your email client (you have collected from the squeeze page).
    Hopefully that will help you!

You have both options if you use optimizepress. You can run a blog with it and also have a sales/optin page on the same domain. Or you install it on two sites, of course you then need a multisite/developer license.

      • Create a website, add a short bio, and write a few posts related to your ebook. Give people a reason to buy your ebook. You can offer your ebook for sale through your website, but you may also use Amazon, Smashwords and other companies. Promote the book on social media sites.

You're kinda limited when it comes to optimize press's blog option.

I'd install your Wordpress blog on your main domain and then your squeeze page in a subdirectory.

Ex. yourdomain[dot]com <--- install your blog here
yourdomain[dot]com/course <--- install optimize press here that way your sales page could be something like yourdomain[dot]com/course/sales

    As for marketing your course:
    1) get your whole sales funnel set up (squeeze page > sales letter > upsell > download page, etc.)

    2) Drive traffic with affiliates and banner ads

Having your blog and sales funnel on the same domain is fine.

I have websites setup where my blog is on one domain and my products are on separate domains and I have other sites where my blog is on the same domain as my product sales pages and squeeze pages.

    To be honest, both work.

One advantage of having your sales pages off of the same domain as your blog is that your entire site looks richer in terms of content so your product pages will not look as spammy or low quality (from Adwords point of view) as a stand-alone squeeze or sales page.

My advice would be to combine the two.
