Paid keyword services worth it?

Is it something that is a wise investment, like some of them are monthly subscriptions. So if one wants to go beyond the free ones, is it a sound choice? Are they basically more accurate?

    Depends on what you want. You have tools that can do it, you have services and you can do it yourself for free, if you have some time.

    There is no such thing. The sources are the same, it's your job to analyze the data yourself.

    There are some good books on keyword research (and some neat software as well) but most of the thing it does you can do it by yourself.
