Here's an neat little Open Source file sharing program

This is NOT my product and I have no benefit whatsoever in posting it here other than to sincerely help others who aren't aware of it...

If you have a quick file or two that you want to send to a friend, colleague, or client, and don't want to transfer it via messengers like Yahoo, etc. or don't want to upload it anywhere or use YouSendIt...

you can simply use MiniShare. It's a tiny little program that you just drop files/folders into it that you'd like to share and it generates a neat little "http"/URL and you friend can download that file via their browser.

In terms of safety, it only opens the port necessary to facilitate this transaction for as long as its running. Once you close out the program that link no longer works.

Not THE most crucial piece of software out there, but a GREAT one to have in a pinch. I keep it on my flash drive - i believe even the latest version (I've been using it since beta) is self-contained (i.e., no install - just click and run).
