INTERNET MARKETING

I can see that many people throughout the forum are pushing themselves to reach their goals by posting them and tracking them in the forum. I find this a great way to get yourself to take IM seriously so that's exactly what I'm doing! I will be taking an affiliate product from CB and promoting it in one weeks time to attempt to make $500. Each day I will be updating everyone on what I've done and what I will be doing. This will give everyone a chance to critique as I go throughout the week. I have been learning about IM for about 2 years now and am finally taking it serious. I haven't pushed myself hard enough to make anything online so I plan on do so now and see what I'm really made of! To get to $500 in one week I will be doing the following below:

- buying a product worthy from clickbank (gravity being 30-50)
- reading the product to help write an honest review
- write the review and create a wp blog promoting the affiliate product
- offering a bonus to the product ( have no idea what that will be quite yet)

my ways of traffic will be
- articles (3/day)
- video youtube, metacafe
- create a report and submit to download sites
- web 2.0 (squidoo,hubpages, etc)
- social bookmarking
- (possible AR series)

This will be lots of hard work but It will pay off in the end I will keep you guys updated throughout this thread and I will also be posting videos of what I did so at the end you guys can critique me on what I did wrong or what I can do better. Well, enough chit chat I'm going to get started any tips or advice would be great. I'll be updating everyone tomorrow! I'm hoping this is a realistic goal to shoot for so we'll see how it turns out in the end. Thanks for your support!

Good luck. I'm sure lots of us will watch your progress with interest.

I've also realised recently that 'product' isn't everything. A quality product is obviously immensely important, but marketing effort is essential too. In this fast changing IM world, you just get ready to tackle it one way and then the next big thing comes along.

It looks like you've got a good plan and as it includes alot of the things I'm building for my efforts too, I'll be hoping you make a great success of it.

I commend you on trying this and I hope it works. I have really tried very hard to make money using Clickbank and so far everything has failed.

I don't see how you'll accomplish your goal in that timeframe with that method.

I hope you do far exceed your expectations however, you are relying on external forces that you have no control over (SEO) in regards to getting eyeballs on your review site in just 7 days to make $500.

Tell us why you think your strategy will work?

  wow, I give you a lot of courage to try to do all that in one week! Please don't be disappointed in yourself
  if you don't reach your own $500 goal time frame. Just seeing that you are
  "taking action" already says so much about you. I am rooting for you!

It may be a long shot to make $500 but I will also be doing a little bit of ppc to drive traffic also. I'm thinking of driving traffic to review page -> product. What do you think of this process??

edit im going to have an optin box on my review page and then going to the product. This way I can build optins and create an AR series for the product im promoting

Good luck you could definately acheive it if you do PPC as well (if your good at keyword research) but with just the other methods it will most likely take longer to see results either way keep us posted.

OP, please take a moment to post this information on your free warrior blog. I did the same type of thread and it was deleted. The reason is that the main forum does not allow "watch me" threads as too many of them will clutter up the main page as they keep getting bumped by "way to go" posts.   it's really too bad these kinds of posts get deleted because some people ruin it for everyone else. These kinds of posts are exactly what people need to get motivated. jelder1, don't let anyone tell you you can't do something that you set your mind to doing. Set a goal and go for it. Don't listen to dream stealers. If you don't reach your goal, don't give up ever. Never give up on your dreams and never listen to anyone who says you will never realize your dreams, ok?

well I have the first 3 videos done and would love to be critiqued thus far. Do you think I should post the videos now or at the end? I did my keyword research and will be begin writing my articles.

Good luck and good job in taking some direct action on your goals! You're right, its a great way to track your progress if you can let someone know and you also have something to shoot for when you know people are waiting to know how you've been going. Keep it up and good luck!

alright everyone so I've got my site up and everything. I've made report, did a comprehensive, review on the product, and made a report. All that's left is driving traffic. I probably won't reach near $500 but it's ok cause I've finally taken action!!

Congratulations!

The challenge really wasn't making 5 hun in a week, it was taking action (hence the title: Procrastinators challenge) which you did and now you have something to build from.
