I use FLV Embed, but how to put into sidebar?

Hello-

I am using a free wordpress site, and I want to put a video in my sidebar. My questions are about using the text widget for code?

Or do I incorporate the FLV Embed plugin for this? (I just got used to using it in my posts. I'm new at this - it's great fun though

I've tried [flv:sitename 320 240] and what not in the text sidebar widget, but it shows up as exactly that. The text.

So if the video is sitename.com/videoname.flv on my site, any ideas on how to also put video in the sidebar this way or an easier way?
