Need help on choosing a niche

Hi

Please can someone help me to choose a niche that I will stick to. I need help with brainstorming and that sort of thing. You can also pm me if you would prefer to.

I want to earn $50 or more per day residual income writing about subjects that are interesting to me. However, I am having difficulty with choosing something to go along with.

I hope you will reply.

Niches are like internet marketing gold. No one tells you where their stash is.

It's for you to find out via keyword research and trend analysis.

Only you can choose. What are your personal interests and hobbies? Those of your family? What work would you choose for an ideal occupation? No-one can make your mind up for you - only yourself.

The internet is a vast place bursting with places to source ideas. Get at that keyboard!

      Good luck.

Are we supposed to read your mind and decide what you are interested in?

Go for a niche which caters to utterly desperate buyers. You will always have buyers if you choose a niche where people are in extreme pain & want an instant solution.

Since you want something that you would enjoy writing about AND you want something that will make you money, you could be narrowing your options by a lot.

I"ve found that if I find a niche that makes me a lot of money, I can GET excited about writing about it.

    But back to your question...

Make a list of all the things you could enjoy writing about.

Then do some trend and purchase research to find things that people are already buying. You can use Amazon best sellers, Ebay best sellers and other places like that to see what people are buying. Use Google trends to find out where those buyers are mostly from to make sure if you sell a US only product, most of the buyers don't come from China, as an example.

You want to do really thorough keyword research once you find a product with a lot of buyers and some but not a lot of competition.

This is super important because there may be a lot of buyers say in weight loss, but the competition is so steep, you would have to go micro niche probably or very long tail to actually be able to reach the market to make money for yourself and both of those things take a lot of expertise.

So look for high selling products in the areas you like that also have little competition so that you actually start making money sooner rather than later.

You can use the Google keyword tool or the free version of traffic travis to do this.

Then, build 10 sites around that product and different keywords.

Building one site and trying to make any money on just that one is rather difficult so go for quantity.

Doing it with some automated software you can probably put up 10 sites in a day. It is the research that takes the most time.

Then, update the content at least once a week.

    Good luck.

I vote you go for the Birthday Chinchilla niche.

It is a very unique niche and I bet you could corner the market if you moved to Mexico and raised them yourself. UPS will transport live animals as long as you have the right permits, and you can live very cheaply in Mexico.

There are many ways to choose niches. See what's selling well on Amazon. Look at the racks of magazines in bookstores. Find out what keywords people are searching for the most.

But as far as what you'll stick with...we can't help you with that one.

On a slightly more serious note than my Birthday Chinchilla niche, you might look to promote a spell-checker or even a grammar checker. I'm betting that you could make a fortune on the right one if you could find a way to make a WSO out of it!

There are 2 methods when come to choose a niche.

      1. Go with what you like, ie your hobby. In this way, you can always continue doing it and you can enjoy the process a lot more.
      2. Go with the market trend. In this case, you will either analyze the upcoming trend, or you can go for the evergreen market, such as making money, dating, health...

Of course if your hobby happen to be the market trend, it is the best! Hope this help.

OK yall waited too long and I couldn't avoid my brilliance any longer. I just used a code for register.com that I found in another thread here on the WF and registered birthdaychinchillas.com .net and .org for $2.97 total.

You'll have go find yourself another niche now since you waited.

Miss Rose, you'll have to check it out and see. Maybe you and I can combine our new business into Birthday Rodents. I'm only 2 1/2 hours from the N. Florida border.

    Hi

Would like to write fiction stories or books for young children. I wonder if it would be worth setting up a website to do this? I thought about starting a photoblog of pictures of animals.

Check out some bookstores - magazine section. Ask the cashier about the magazines he/ she sells most. I call this *free* & highy effective market research.
Business, Lifestyle, Gardening, Personal Development, Cooking.... to name a few of the hot niches. Pick the niche that you are most interested in - where you have the most knowledge and/ or are willing to learn more about.

To chose a niche it is best to make a list of 12 things you like doing without collecting cash for. Then pick out the top 3. Then from the 3 pick 1.

Now go to google keyword tools search for by inputting the keyword of what you like to do. Then copy the related keywords. Pick the keyword that has the lowest search term.

Use the keyword to search for a domain name. if avaliable then register the domain name if not avaliable put some words or numbers after the keyword domain you will certainly get one good domain people can remember.

Now set up a blog. You may ask WHY? A blog is easier to rank higher than a website and a website is not easier to update accept you have the skill and knowledge to do so.

Now register with clickbank, paydotcom, shareasale etc to make money as an affiliate

Now you will need to register with ad network like cj you can search google for the term "Top Pay Per Immersion Ad Network"

Finding a niche isn't all that hard. It's 'nichefying' that requires a little work. Keep in mind your main goal is to help people solve a problem.

For example, if you go into the health and wellness niche, visit some forums on that topic and see what kinds of questions people are asking or what kinds of problems they are having. They may want to know how to find a diet they can stick with that's easy; or they may want to know what to do if they can't afford to or have the time to visit a gym.

If you find enough people asking the same types of questions you have found a gold mine. And hey, once you figure all this out you can teach others how to do the same as one of your niches!

      Good luck!

Here's a fast way to pick a niche.

Go on to... dummies.com, and find a topic.
That's your niche. These people have done
    their research - and there's obviously a
    demand.

Otherwise, go to a magazine rack, and check
    out the niches.

Or else, find subscription lists, and fly through
    the huge counts.

Go trend-hunting, man. The internet's your
    fishbowl.
