Pinterest - Is it worth???

Hi Friends,

Since last few weeks I have read alot about Pinterest. I could not understand the hype about it.

Is it worth sharing pictures on Pinterest? I know it draws traffic but is it worth?

Still could not make out.

Kindly pour in your views on this

Thanks a lot

The average pinterest visitor that visits my site can visit up to 6 pages or more while there. Roughly half of visitors bounce from the first page but the onces that stay usually check out the rest of the site. The key is to only post pins back to your site that relate to your site. Don't pin a photo of a rabbit and have it lead back to your site if you have a dating site, for example.

a good way to do it is to make an infographic or interesting photo that relates for a blog post and pin it with the description being "a great blog post about XYZ"

remember you are making a book mark using a picture as a reminder for what that bookmark is. that's how you create quality traffic.

To get shares for that pin, tweet the pin or share it on a facebook fan page.

to drive traffic to your pin via pinterest, just pin stuff you like! it doesn't have to relate. the idea is to create content that acts like a funnel - people check you out, then they check out your other stuff.

Also, your website might get pinned on its own if you have a good graphic or picture - since someone wants to bookmark it.

Just like google - good content goes a long way on pinterest and the relevancy of your pins will determine the relevancy of your traffic.

I do use the same method and it works pretty good. One of my pics did got viral and it made me some good money. When it gets viral, the traffic is not as good as the regular pinterest traffic, I get. But comparing the overall income, sure try to get viral.

I didn't have much success on Pinterest but I think if you figure out a business that's primarily image focused then you are on to a winner!

As I said, personally I haven't had any success with it - but I have a feeling that's about to change! i just hope they don't change the way they have Do Follow links before I get a chance to capitalize on my idea!!

Interesting... but other than it made him feel good... what was (or could have been) the outcome of it?

Personally I'm definitely not sold on Pinterest - keeps playing up, won't let me created 'boards', won't let me 'pin'. Retarded.

I've set up an account and building a presence there. It seems the people who're making big money from it are the ones who are spamming it and using follow/unfollow bots but I believe this is a very short term method on how to do it.
